Canadians buy quite a few Teslas....big bucks in Canada....Starlink
$100 million dollar deal was not peanuts....the trade war didn't go
into effect...I suspect Musk was kneeling before Trump....

    Tesla's sales plummet across Europe
    ========================

Teslas turn toxic as sales crash in Europe and the UK
EV sales in the region are growing, but not for Tesla.

Early car sales data for January is starting to arrive from countries
across the pond, and they paint an alarming picture for Tesla. Sales
are crashing in France, Germany, and the UK---all affluent countries
that are key markets for Tesla's electric vehicles. Coming on the
heels of a large financial miss, it's just one more problem for the
    automaker.

At least in germany it was very small amount. About 80 MUSD if I
    calculated correctly.

I do not understand why the shares continue to go up. It is very
    mysterious!

Maybe Trump will create a law that forces every american to own a Tesla or
    they will get deported?

Tesla Inc.'s quarterly results this week drove home the lesson that
profit and sales numbers don't seem to matter much for this stock
anymore. Instead, it's Elon Musk's narrative that's wooing investors
    at the moment. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2025-01-31/tesla-s-supercharged-narrative-shreds-stock-s-valuation-models

This is why I am wondering if Musk will be the modenr Icarus story? Will
he soar too high? Will his paper empire collapse? How much loans does he
have? If he has a lot of loans, a collapse of his paper empire could
quickly trigger repayments that would accelerate the collapse.

I've not followed Musk's financial aspects, but I assume each company
"owned" has no relationship to the others. Twitter (X) or Tesla, for
instance, are not related to SpaceX.

    Unknown how he borrows money....

There can be links between them through loans, cross ownership, holding companies in tax havens etc. I would not be surprised if there were
intimate and dangerous links between the companies.
