'Free world needs a new leader': Europe defends Zelenskyy after Trump
    attack

France, Germany and Poland all make prompt declarations of support as
Europe fears Trump's alignment with Putin.

European leaders on Friday rallied to defend Ukrainian President
Volodymyr Zelenskyy after United States President Donald Trump and
Vice President JD Vance subjected him to a tirade of withering and infantilizing abuse in the Oval Office.

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said: "Today, it
became clear that the free world needs a new leader. It's up to us,
    Europeans, to take this challenge."

In what may prove to a significant turning point in the tottering
postwar Western alliance between Europe and the United States, the
Europeans pushed back against Washington's increasing alignment with
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and Trump's browbeating of Zelenskyy.

I can't imagine how even Donald Duck could be anything worse than the
    other Donald!

I believe the T-Borg is only concerned with lowering his taxes, and
    reaping "dividends" from Russian oligarchs.

His "dealmaking" is with Putin, not Zelenskyy

allies' ability to sway US leader"

US's economy appears to have signs of weakness, due to this "tough"
talk; there are businesses that can't evaluate the future with his
rhetoric, so future plants/equipment investments are on hold.

Street talk suggests US will take a hit with his tariffs, and could
    plunge US into a recession.

I believe China will punch back, and hope EU does. If so, this will
affect US voters who may vote for Democrats in the next election,
    which would affect the T-Borg.

I think so. Trump certainly seems to have more respect for
Vladimir Putin anyway. Maybe because Putin wears suits? ;-)

However, Donald Trump would say he was elected to "Make America
Great Again" and if cheap Russian fuel deals (or whatever) were
better for the American taxpayer in the long run than donating
billions in military aid to Ukraine, logic says that's the way
to go from his side of the fence. POTUS is trying to improve the
American economy, not get a pat on the back for settling a land
dispute on the other side of the world.

Europeans might feel differently, but then again we haven't done
much to be proud of in the past few years... apart from giving
Ukraine some money and hoping the issue goes away. The EU talk a
good fight but in reality they are toothless cowards afraid of
upsetting the Russian bear on their doorstep in case it comes to
    eat them.

If one good thing comes out of 'that' Oval Office meeting on
Friday it might be that the EU now sharpen their focus on
proactively helping Ukraine. The USA can't be relied on to help
Europe out all the time... which has always been something that
European governments could fall back on. We have got lazy in
Europe. Trump's actions should be a wake-up call to all European
leaders, the war is on our doorstep - get yer fingers out!

He doesn't consult, he dictates...his previous actions indicates his
company and daughter have profited while being POTUS.

    improve the American economy

US workers' wages are much higher than undeveloped nations. For
years, he used "wet back" labor, and still uses labor with visas.
