Trump Dismisses Scientists From National Climate Report
The Trump administration on Monday informed approximately 400
scientists and researchers who were working on the National Climate
Assessment that they've been dismissed.
The congressionally mandated report details how climate change affects
the United States and has been published every four years under a 1990
law signed by President George H.W. Bush.
The National Climate Assessment provides data on sea level rise,
rainfall patterns, drought conditions, and extreme weather events that
are used by city planners, farmers, water utilities, emergency
responders, and businesses.

As more climate calamities happen, insurance rates will rise in those
areas, and if too many calamities, these companies will drop coverage.
