    Hello,

How do I tell iPhone's iOS v17.2.1.'s Contacts NOT to show contact's
nickname and company all in capitalized letters? Nickname shows NICKNAME
and Company shows COMPANY. iOS v16.7.2 and earlier didn't do this. I
can't find the option to disable this annoying auto capitalization.
Searching and editing the contact doesn't show all of them in
    capitalizations so that's good.

Thank you for reading and hopefully answering soon. :)

Gotts ask-- sure you didn't enter the text in upper case in Contacts ?

That's not something you can change as it's a design choice made by
    Apple.

I can't find the option to disable this annoying auto capitalization.

It's hardly annoying when you can simply choose not to stare at it. But
if you have an obsessive personality and can't bring yourself to ignore
this very minor detail, go ahead and send feedback to Apple about it.

Searching and editing the contact doesn't show all of them in

    Yep.

Uh oh... Am I too late?

    Here's a thought:

Create a company contact (there's a little check mark for that).

I'm guessing that then the company name will be in normal case and if
you add a person's name to the company it will be in all caps.

Where is this? I don't see it when making a new and editing an old contact.

You must have entered them in cpaital letters. Here I cannot observe the described behaviour on my iPhone 14 iOS 17.2.1. in German. Perhaps a localisation thing?

Oops: You are right. Just for the sake of it I checked it again: One of
my doctors is presented with function and employer in capitals.
Not an issue for me at all. Why does that bother you?

Nope, they are shown in all capital letters on the view contact page.
They are not shown in all caps when you edit the contact. As I said,
it's merely a stylistic choice by Apple to display them this way on the
    view contact page:

    <https://ibb.co/DP2X6ty>

    Here's the edit contact page:

Maybe. Or maybe you just aren't looking at the right page.
