*This begs the immediate question of how the back could 'peel' when it's made of something solid?*

The back glass of the design has a substance at the edges which makes it
appear as though the edge is coming away. Apparently, it's to do with the adhesive which is used to hold the back part of the phone in place.

The peeling can occur due to a manufacturing fault when the adhesive is
    being applied.

A Reddit user said they purchased their iPhone 15 Pro only a month and a
half ago but noticed the back edges were peeling after removing the case to clean it.

The user, who goes by mr_rakue, said he used a Rhinoshield Mod NX case but didn’t believe it could have affected the phone.

The post grabbed the attention of other iPhone 15 owners who experienced
the same issue, with one noting they took their smartphone to an Apple
Store and were told it was a manufacturing issue.

The back of an iPhone 15 is glass...

...which isn't a material typically known for "peeling".

It looks like the images are actually showing a little adhesive being
    squeezed out.

That user is obviously lying. Apple would never use crude chinese
construction techniques like glopping glue on all the components so they
can't be repaired. That would be the same as producing disposable, chintzy products.

This is Never done by apple.
