• My 8949 forms aren't complete

From Jeff Barber@21:1/5 to All on Tue Apr 5 14:37:20 2022
I filed 2021 and irs accepted, but now I've noticed that turbo tax didn't seem to include all my stock transactions on form 8949's, but the totals do match my 1099b. Should I amend the return to include all the 8949 entries even though the bottom line is
    the same?

Were some of the transactions reported on line 1a or 8a of
Schedule D? Transactions included on those lines are not
    listed on Form 8949.

I wouldn't file an amended return if it's not going to
result in any change. If there is some detail missing, and
the IRS wants the missing information, they will send a
    letter asking for it.

Thanks Bob, you are right. I was mistaken in thinking that all transactions should appear on the 8949's, but I see now that my items in 1a and 8a on Sched D do not need to be, and that's how turbo tax handled it. Thanks!
