Hey, everyone. I'm seeing i2pn2 NoCeMs cancelling ovh NoCeMs. Any idea
what's happening?
Do you remember where he wrote about it, so I can go and take a look?
IIRC there is a cancelling war between some NNTP operators, maybe ask
"Ray Banana" from eternal september, IIRC he wrote about this.

I was referring to a quarrel between pasdenom and usenet.ovh, primarily
in the fr.* hierarchy.
If i2pn2 is sending nocems for nocem messages issued by ovh, this is
most likely a malfunction in i2pn2's spam filter. IIRC ovh includes
the subject header of spam articles in its nocem messages, which in turn
triggers i2pn2's spam filter.
Maybe Retro Guy could comment on this?
There is no war.
Ray is correct, my (i2pn2) filters must be triggering on
the nocem messages. I'll check into that right away! Thanks for letting me know about it!

That seems a bizarre concept to me. What do they have to war about, so
long as the spam gets shut down?

I don't know about Usenet spam, but I thought ovh was a major source of
email spam what with wikitimbres and voilesnews and so forth. Are they
doing legit spam cancels on usenet?
Don't confuse usenet.ovh with the ISP and Hoster OVH. Tey're a private
Usenet server hosted at OVH just using their TLD. And they issue valuable NoCeMs
on Usenet.
you're like a cancer

And their newsmaster made rogue cancel and pushed Marc Shaefer to stop Alphanet.

Quoting spam in nocem notice made them marked by spamassassin ...

A quick glance at f.u.a.d. should suffice to see what I'm talking about.
And Eric is just the moderator of the nemoweb frontend and can not
control the operation of the backend server (i.e. pasdenom), I know.
Anyway, this discussion is not helpful in the struggle to stop the spam
flood from Google Groups and should remain in f.u.a.d, where
people seem to be more willing to dedicate their time to such bickering.

I'm not a real moderator, I can't control many things.

Well, I would agree with you in the meantime but I don't like far right activists like LLP
so it annoys me a bit when people call them "reliable",
but I don't want to start a flame war here so I won't go further,
mail me if you want to speak, my adress is valid as is :)
