Did you know about Rocksolid Light, the NNTP server with a web portal?

    [ code: <https://gitlab.com/rslight-public/rocksolid-light> ]

Rocksolid Light is a NNTP server and web portal package that allows
users to read and post via their web browsers or news reader clients.

With Google discontinuing Usenet access next year (thank heavens),
there may be a sharp increase in demand for free Usenet access hosts
for text-only Usenet. A network of Rocksolid Light peers could
    provide this service.

Sysops who don't want to carry a full feed (like me) can carry
whichever groups they wish. Since Rocksolid Light uses reader mode to
sync messages, bandwidth is conserved by not pulling anything from
excluded groups. All the old and deprecated and defunct moderated
groups can be excluded, shrinking feeds down to a manageable size.

Rocksolid Light can also be set up as a isolated NNTP service outside
of Usenet. Private forums can run on the software. It also has features
for operating as a TOR hidden service inside the onion network.

Rocksolid Light could use some more html+css weblords and php
programmers to contribute more custom themes and improvements.

You can find more information in the newsgroups under the rocksolid.*
hierarchy of newsgroups or by visiting https://novabbs.org.
