I’m looking for someone to do peering with and also looking for help in setting up INN.

My server address is news.tcpreset.net.'

It’s a text only server and I’m finding difficulty to initialize innfeed due also to the fact that I do not have whom to make peering with or
anyway the command of peering in newsfeed is probably wrong.

I setup ours 3 years a go under arch GNU/Linux the key was to read the
great documentation, I know there is a lot of it, but is worth it,
takes less time to read the actual official documentation than to
fix errors later.

- it is in "best effort" mode with no guarantee of continuity of operation

- it could be decommissioned in the future, also taking into account the declining worldwide use of NNTP newgroups. :-(

NNTP reciprocal, we summarize the salient data for configuration:

- his server must accept NNTP connections on TCP port 119 from news.corradoroberto.it

Please check your news.err log.

You might want to run INN without TLS support and when everything is
working, (active file, storage config, innfeed.conf, inn.conf without
peers) you can add one peer and see if that works in both directions,
too.You will need to configure incoming.conf, newsfeeds and innfeed.conf
for this to work. I would suggest to configure TLS when everything else
is working.

To disable TLS support, comment out the following lines in inn.conf:

#tlscapath: /usr/local/news/lib/
#tlscertfile: /usr/local/news/lib/XXXXX.pem
#tlskeyfile: /usr/local/news/lib/XXXXXX.key
#tlscafile: /usr/local/news/lib/XXXXXXX.crt

When nnrpd is started by innd, it should only use SSL when a client explicitly requests encryption via STARTTLS, so I wonder how your nnrpd is actually started?

What is the output from the following command:

netstat -tulpen | grep :119

Just because you mention Letsencrypt in your parallel posting in n.s.nntp:

What does ls -l /etc/news/*.pem display`?

And finally: What is your operating system (distibution)? Did you install
INN from the package supplied by your distribution?

systemd tries to start nnrpd to serv nntp readers.

check config "/etc/systemd/system/inn-nnrpd.service"

Perhaps its configured with "-p 563 -S" to start listening on port 563 with direkt SSL/TLS encryption (nntps)

This breaks if no TLS is configured.
