• How does INN2 handle articles outside of locally subscribed newsgroups

How does INN2 handle articles outside of locally subscribed newsgroups and peering config parameters?

If my peering config says to not send certain groups or hierarchies, what would my peer do with those out-of-band articles if they were sent to my peer anyway?

If a peer sends articles to my peer which are not included in my local available newsgroups, does my peer forward them to other peers anyway, as a pass-through?

Does my peer retain articles from groups which are not in the local newsgroups config?

What does my peer do with the articles that do not match my local newsgroups list and peering config? Are they deleted? Are they held and forwarded to other peers?

Do peers only send articles in the groups and hierarchies requested by my peering config, or is there more going on there? If so, what more?

    Some clarification would be helpful.

If they configure their server properly, yes. But peers might not do
that and send more. Your own policies need to cover that, e.g. reject
posts in groups that they don't have or reject because they are local
    only.
