• Poles away every one

From Gordon@21:1/5 to All on Fri May 17 02:46:15 2024
As Jim Bolger once said, "Bugger" the poles.

Whatever the result I am pretty sure that the majority of the people of this country are okay with having an election in 2026, as proposed by our
    electrol system.

So lets have the next pole in the Spring, not right after the next stabbing.

I presume you are referring to this one: https://www.thepost.co.nz/politics/350281697/public-dismayed-about-economy-government-struggles-poll

It may well be another poll with only about 1000 polled, and based on
previous polls that may mean it only as reliable as the other recent
polls - not quite as reliable they would have you believe.

The chances of a poll earlier than 2026 rest almost entirely on
whether the three coalition leaders can hold their shaky relationships
together long enough to not fall apart before then - the crunch may
come when Peters is supposed to relinquish being Deputy PM - long
enough for the results of economic policies to be seen as well.
