    Lets leave aside the headline, the threat was in 2021.

    Here we have another case of 6 years of fluffing around on a problem which needs fixing. Another Labour Government's own goal.

    It does seem on a wider level that this country (the public) need to understand the
    all infrastructure needs maintenance and it needs to be done.

    The courts are part of the law and order machine which hets talked about at election time, and the public wish to have a functioning law and order so
    why does it get to this stage?

    What an appalling situation. It has to be fixed, nobody should have to tolerate that, if it was a factory the unions would pull their members out.
    The story and the response by MoJ is woeful.

    This is indeed a long standing problem - it goes back to the design in
    1985, but complaints have been made during the last 4 governments at
    least. Good to see it is getting fixed - not sure when the allocation
    was made, but if it was during the previous government it is still
    good that the current government is still committed to fixing it.

    The way things are going we are likely to need more spending on crime
    generally - is this enough ''Big Thinking" or "the 'Right' track" for
    our government?:
