Politicians ignore science at their peril. To safety on the rods,
should we be concerned about safety in the workplace, safety in sport,
safety in prisons, and children riding bicycles without helmets?
Setting laws by "reckons" from immature ministers is not a good way to
run a country. Getting rid of impartial advice rapidly becomes
inexcusable.

Let us all outlaw touch screens in EV cars NOW. As the Ozie Brit utuber >pointed out, whose idea was it to to put an ipad on wheels. Eyes on the
road, well not really, or at all.

No, that is the Woke way of Labour. At present the present Government
is trying to stablise the chaos left by the previous Government on very little resources (money).

That is a fair question, although having been a passenger in a Tesla a
few times with different drivers (some being taxis) I have not
observed much taking of the eyes off the road except when stopped. It
is worth looking into however, as is the similar problem with radios
and phone connections on other makes. I prefer the heads up display on
the front screen of my vehicle which shows the speed limit, actual
speed, directions if I have entered a destination. I also have a phone >connect on the steering wheel, and other buttons to adjust station or
volume. There have been may accidents caused by ''adjusting the radio"
- do you want those to be looked at as well?

Simeon is threatening more "PPP" arrangements - that didn't turn out
so well with the Expressway from Porirua north - that is still causing >problems - and it was certainly an expensive way to build a road.
