Rich scroll down to the Annual Migration heading, below which you will
see the net migration gain/loss was negative from around January 21 to
January 23. Perhaps you can cite how many Police Officers moved to
    Australia during that period?

Our "skilled and working" expats in Aus can still vote for "NAct1st".
Did you think they'd switch to voting commie? They won't.

Thanks Crash. I note that the link you give is all migration, not just
skilled workers. Police Officers are a particular focus given that
many apparently say they voted for National to get a better pay rise
than they expected from the previous government - that did not go so
well. The TV item showed how they are having to go through a training
process in Queensland (fair enough with different laws and more
violence to deal with), and that is meaning that some are having to
wait before resigning from NZ. If immigration is giving us a lot of
unskilled workers, then the net result may well be a loss of skilled
workers from New Zealand. I suspect that may also be a reason for a
shortage of doctors and nurses here, but I don't have statistics on
that. For sure we have a big resourcing problem that appears to be
getting worse in health as well as police . Do you find it baffling to understand why that is suddenly happening, Crash?

They can vote for who they like in an election, but we are not likely
to have another election for another year at least. What proportion of
those emigrating do you think may be NAct1st supporters either now or
when the next election happens, Willy Nilly?

No, Rich, I don't find it 'baffling' as you apparently do. Every now
and again news media come up with snippets like this, be they Police
or any other occupation. I am reminded of a quote from RD Muldoon:
"The annual exodus of Kiwis to Australia raised the average IQ of both countries".

So this is just a variance on a theme that has been happening since
    the colonial occupation of NZ.

I agree that there is a problem with Police being recruited by foreign
forces, but this is not new and there is no guarantee that increased
pay will slow it down or stop it. It is worth remembering that
increased Police pay has flow-on effects with increased pay rates for
    others.
