This is a report from the Transmission folks (Trans Power) which I saw on my wanderings recently. This is in "connection" to the "Chickens come home to roost thread.

It is dated October 2023. There is some interesting stuff in here once one skips past the first few pages. It is still somewhat based on the political tome of the last Government. Climate change and electrification feature.
Still this was the previous Government's policy.

    There is also a heading
"Generation is covering peak demand, but the margins are close with
next winter a key concern", which is recent history.

The tone of this somewhat down beat, factual rather than fluff as sometimes happens in other reports. It is easy reading and has some data in it to
    support its claims.

It is a worthwhile read and it gives a clear picture and a calming inflence
on some of the other articles.

Finally there is also a heading

"Renewable utility scale generation interest continues well on track to
meet 2050 forecasted energy demand from electrification"

    So all good.
