It is no wonder that people discriminate against neighbourhoods with
Kainga Ora tenants when stories like this occur regularly:

Now the tenant has been moved on - but where to is not explained so it
could well be that a new neighbourhood is about to be victimised.
The clear message here is that either local bodies need to protect neighbourhoods against Kainga Ora tenants (using town planning
requirements), or preferably criminal sanctions should be available
against tenants such as these so that the disruptive offending ceases
(or never starts).
I am in a 'rural residential' area which will never be of interest to
Kainga Ora because town planning restrictions prohibit high-density
housing. I pity those who find that a house or new development in
their street has been bought by Kainga Ora.
