• A Sad Deterioration

Recent publicity relating to Robert F Kennedy Jr has mostly been about
his standing for President, and it would have been a surprise to many (particularly those outside the USA) that he was not still a supporter
of the Democratic Party. His endorsement of Trump rather than Harris
when he withdrew from the race for President may have come as a
surprise, but the article gives a sad possible explanation,, including
    this link: https://edition.cnn.com/2024/05/09/politics/rfk-jr-parastic-worm-brain/index.html

To go from an environmental activist supporting clean energy sources
to no opposing wind farms and to also being "a vaccine skeptic who has
promoted a link between vaccines and autism that has been disproven"
    is very sad.

While we cannot attribute similar aberrant and repugnant beliefs and
behaviours to parasites in the brain, there is no doubt that we still
have many who are unwilling to believe scientifically proven facts and
expert advice in many areas of life, not just the phenomenon of Trump
and his supporters, and their equivalents in New Zealand.

    And what is your point?
Or are you just dribbling at the mouth (parasitic worms can cause that you know)?

    The science is never done.

In to-days world an idea gets hold and it is many decades before all do not believe it. The idea refuses to die. While this is happening some people are changing their views as new evidence comes to light. Often there is still a group which has not caught up with the state of play.

Certainly a person losing part of his brain for the reasons given is
unusual, and I would not expect such a loss would be expected to
improve mental processes - the suggest appears to be that RFK Jr has
suffered a loss of mental acuity - see from the first article:
"Environmental advocates who once looked up to Kennedy say the
positions he has taken in recent years have disheartened them. Kennedy
is a vaccine skeptic who has promoted a link between vaccines and
    autism that has been disproven."

Whether the loss of a small part of his brain has contributed to him
adopting views that have been scientifically proved wrong is unclear,
    but is denied by Kennedy

Still no point to this thread.
