    and from that report:
"Professor Paul Griffin from the University of Queensland told
Checkpoint XEC seemed to be more infectious than other subvariants.

"In many parts of the world it's predicted it'll be dominant, perhaps
even by the middle of this month."

Griffin added people needed to maintain a certain level of readiness
    and mitigating strategies.

"At the moment, I think one of our biggest challenges is actually
    complacency.

"The fact that we've got a new subvariant that's looking more
infectious than taking over in many parts of the world, it should be a
reminder that we need to keep up some of those basic strategies like vaccination, antivirals and simple measures to reduce getting infected
    and onward transmission."

Last week, Te Whatu Ora reported 1174 new cases and five further
    deaths."

With 11 dead in the last fortnight, it is clearly not been and gone .

    Selective misinterpretation . . . .

Look at all the information - Covid is still with us . . .

Yes it is - but the scale is no longer significant. For most of us
Covid is no longer something we need to worry about.

Exactly. My local medical centre believes that covid and the flu have similar impacts on them and their patients.
It is politically important for some people to extend the pandemic as long as possible.

It is only fools like you, Dickbot, who keep Covid with us, because of
your loopy vaccines. Look at the chickens, it took Marek's disease 50
years to change from being a mild nuisance to becoming 100% fatal.
Without the vaccines, it never would have happened. See https://www.quantamagazine.org/vaccines-are-pushing-pathogens-to-evolve-20180510/

(ignore the idiotic Covid-hysterical "Editor's note" added in 2021).

Without nitwits like you, Dickbot, Covid would have disappeared into
the morass of colds-flus background long ago. Only your idiocy keeps
it going, thanks to the vaccines which keep a subset of our population vulnerable to each variant of Covid in turn, and breeding within that
subset, converts to a new variant ready to exploit the next episode.
Without the vaccines, this would never happen. It took the chickens
50 years for Marek's to become 100% fatal, and now Covid is 4 years
    along that same track.

If they'd stopped vaccinating chickens at the 4-year mark, Marek's
disease would have disappeared or returned to its original role of
causing warts. But they kept vaccinating, and now all commercial
chickens must be vaccinated *in the egg* to prevent Marek's disease
    from killing them, see
    https://www.embrexbiodevices.com/poultry-biodevices
    for how it's done.

Morons like you, Dickbot, will cause humans to have to have in-belly vaccinations for all babies-to-be to survive in a Covid-lethal world
which was caused by your own idiocy. The idiocy is yours, Dickbot.
The crime is yours, Dickbot. Your glacial stupidity is why incredibly
stupid things happen when all that was required, was to do nothing.

Nature provides the way and the cures. The Dickbots of this world
show the way to self-annihilation. You are a cheaply-paid agent of
stupidity and death, Dickbot. Practice what you preach, would you?

Or look at the Deaths graph. Hard to find any less than 11 per fornight.

At the start of Covid the prediction, apart from the modellers, said that
the virus would be with us for many decades. it would become epidemic over time.
