These are strange and interesting times we live in.
The question of racing greyhound safety has been debated for decades. I know it was in the 1980s.
Successive governments have failed to adequately address it until now.
There is also a movement, perhaps less vocal, concerned about horse racing and rodeos. Personally I think rodeos are horribly cruel, horseracing not as obviously so although when I was last on a racecourse (a rarity for me) a horse broke a leg and was euthanised.
But I certainly support any decision to reduce avoidable suffering to animals and (most) human beings.
