• Kiwibank gets capital injection

From Crash@21:1/5 to All on Tue Dec 10 16:57:58 2024
All the reports of this are behind paywalls, however it has been
widely reported that the Government is taking Rich's advice and
allowing Kiwibank to increase its capital in order to be a more
    dominant banking-industry player.

Clearly this illustrates Rich has influence with the Government,
therefore by implication and using his logic he must now be part of
    the Atlas Network.

What a crock. Kiwibank has always been a liability.

    Bill.

Shareholder capital will make little difference to market share in the
next few years - they need to get more customers . . . .

Getting more customers requires a great deal of work and investment in marketing etc. That costs money.
Shareholder capital is money and can be used to finance such things.
Properly used shareholder capital will drive business growth.
    A very simple business principle.
