    "Green Electricity Costs a Bundle
The data make clear: The notion that solar and wind power save money is an environmentalist lie."

"In a country with little or no solar and wind, the average electricity cost
is about 12 cents a kilowatt-hour (in today’s money). For every 10% increase in solar and wind share, the electricity cost increases by more than 5 cents
    a kilowatt-hour."

Looks like the cost is in US$.

So we have an indication of the forecast of the price of power as NZ gets
and in creasing green power amount.

Have a look at the graph below in article.

Ah, science - what a leveller it is. Trouble is, those who have set their inflexible minds on "green" energy don't use science.

That is probably why the page you refer to is clearly labeled Opinion
    - that is as close as you get to science, isn't it Tony?

A list of costs in a range of countries that is not New Zealand hardly
points to science in relation to decisions New Zealand should make.

We have an electricity system that is geared towards delivering very
good profits to the private shareholders, so we have seen electricity
costs climbing rapidly - and the current government sees that
structure (which also delivers a good dividend to government) as
delivering an alternative to income tax - but that is more political
dogma than science. You will be aware that our generating companies
have had approvals for more wind and solar generation, which they have
not taken up as through using a bit of coal every so often they can
keep electricity prices artificially high to keep delivering those
dividends - as the expense of energy users paying more than would have
been necessary without the partial sell-off of previous state
assets. The article also appears to have ignored the cost of not
meeting emission targets in international agreements for those
countries affected - which does include NZ as well as the USA. Still
missing important issues is perhaps what you see as "science", Tony .

    Garbage removed.
See your othe idiotic lie in response to my post.
You have no qualification to discuss science at any level. We all know that.

No that is you. I am qualified, you are not. You have lied about your imaginary degree before. You don't have a degree. Just another of your lies.
Hint - the word opinion does not exclude the presence of fact or science. Do get some help.
