Two good items recently - sadly they are pointing out major issuesIf you seriously believe what no right turn publishes then you are part of the problem.
with our government rather than good news; but good news is more
scarce now than before the Coalition of Chaos was elected . . .

Quite apart from not trusting the government to keep its word - that
is getting too regular to be seen as unusual, yet again the government
is effectively saying they are not listening, despite having promised
that they would.
The process of reviewing submissions is not hard - generally they
become quick to read for standard phrases, and most can be summarised
by issue quite quickly. Those that do not fit that pattern may take a
little longer. If they used AI for the 200,000 online submissions they
would be able to merely count submissions that are identical or near >identical, but without someone doing the work the true views of New >Zealanders who sought to be heard will not be heard.
This issue goes to the integrity of the whole government - and the
solution is readily available to the Prime Minister - he should ensure
that Parliamentary Services are told to hire additional staff to
undertake this work - there are plenty of laid-off public servants
around who would be happy to have a few days or weeks work to ensure
that the Select Committee gets accurate information about the
submissions that have been received.
If they do not, we will know that they, like some other authoritarian >governments around the world that are well known, this government just
does not care what New Zealanders think - they believe they and they
alone know what is in their best interests, and they don't want to
know other views . . .
Then there is : >https://norightturn.blogspot.com/2025/03/climate-change-more-subsidies-for-tiwai.html
There is a reason that the government is not prepared to adequately
fund School lunches, schools generally, hospitals, tertiary
institutions, the unemployed, the disabled - they are too busy
providing subsidies to businesses. It is clear that they don't really
believe in a free market - they just want to subsidise their mates. No
long term planning; the ethos of Act1stNational is to loot for as long
as they can, rip off the poor and middle class to pay political
donors. Are Seymour / Luxon / Peters any better than Trump or Putin?
