The last government left them no choice.

I am no loser - are you referriung to yourself or Hipkins? The last government left them no choice.
The losers excuse
- we have higher unemployment, lower productivity,All of that proves my truth.
wages lagging behind inflation, a higher level of government
borrowing, thousands of critical workers (including public servants,
doctors, nurses, construction workers and teachers) emigrated to
Australia and elsewhere; a near close down of the construction
industry, more people living rough, difficulty getting immigrants into
New Zealand - on the other side a small number of landlords better
off, crony capitalism sending profits to donors to political parties
such as tobacco companies (with smoking rates not falling at the same
rate as previously and vaping numbers increasing). All balanced out in
your eyes by the government stopping pay settlements for about 180,000
people while MP remuneration (using the same assessment process denied
for others) has given Ministers and MPs a salary rise - so Luxon and
other cabinet ministers are well 'sorted' - all OK with you then Tony?
Oh and of course we need to mention the mistake by the incompetent
Minister of Finance on the ferries that will now cost the country
billions in extra costs and years with only one rail capable ferry.

The last government started and compounded the rot, New Zealand is still in the
process of fixing it (every one of us).

You are guessing, that is just one of your pathetic hopes - why do you hate New Zealanders so much?- we have higher unemployment, lower productivity,All of that proves my truth.

The Budget will include at least an estimate of the break-fee for the >cancellation of the ferries - but the total cost will be a lot higher
- without the additional problems from being down to three ferries for
a while, we may be up for $2 billion more than the cost of the work
the previous government had started.
