The NZ Herald must be having considerable difficulties -
understandable that many businesses are reducing advertising given the declining economic position, but subscribers will also be down. The
public part of the website is clearly cheap sensationalism - articles
that are cheap to get - like the article you refer to; the sort of
article that used to be used by papers overseas for 'light reading
while on public transport to and from work'. Their 'behind a paywall'
articles are also lower quality than in the past - it is getting
harder to support the policies of the government, but they do not want
to be seen to be against them either. . . . - all a bit like it must
be in America under Trump . . .
