    Actually, that reminds me. Channel 5 which showed the games in the UK overnight did show commercials, but never during the games. Somebody on
    raseff at the time explained that channels could not show more than a
    certain number of minutes an hour, but this was averaged over the entire
    day. Not showing commercials overnight meant they could show more during
    the day.
