in the franchise. A followup series is nearing a pilot order from Hulu,
with Sarah Michelle Gellar expected to star, reprising her signature role

Is this going to be a geriatric Buffy trying to run around and do all the gymnastics and whatnot that she used to as a teenager, or is she going to be kind of a Watcher type, mentoring a new young Slayer?

Beyond the pilot order, I hear the reboot is starting a writers room soon,
a sign that Hulu and the studios have high expectations for the project
going to series. It is unclear yet whether other original Buffy cast

It's considered likely probably because most of them have nothing else going
    on with their careers.

Buffy creator Joss Whedon, who also wrote the 1992 movie the series was
based on, has no involvement in the reboot. He has not worked in Hollywood
in any official capacity since facing a slew of misconduct allegations in 2021.

Whether he was a cad or not, his writing is what made the show what it was. I don't have high hopes it will recapture the magic without him.

If the Hulu pilot goes to series, it would be the third in the franchise, following mothership Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which aired on the WB for
five seasons from 1997-2001 before dramatically moving to UPN for two more

Why was the move to UPN 'dramatic'?

Berman, Fran Kazui and Kaz Kazui previously teamed up with 20th TV in 2018 for a potential Buffy The Vampire Slayer reboot written by Midnight, Texas creator Monica Owusu-Breen, on which Whedon was an executive producer. That project, whose lead was envisioned as a black woman

Of course it was. What's a Hollywood 'reimagining' without a race-swap,

‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ Reboot Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar >>>>> Nears Hulu
Pilot Order With Chloé Zhao Directing

    By Nellie Andreeva
    February 3, 2025 12:30pm

More than two decades after Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended its
    seven-season
run, the beloved supernatural drama is eyeing a revival with a new
    chapter
in the franchise. A followup series is nearing a pilot order from
    Hulu,
with Sarah Michelle Gellar expected to star, reprising her
    signature role
as Buffy Summers, sources said. Oscar winner Chloé Zhao, a self-
    professed
lifelong Buffy fan, is set to direct the pilot, written by Nora and
    Lilla
    Zuckerman (Poker Face).

The reboot hails from Buffy the Vampire Slayer studio 20th
    Television and
Disney sibling Searchlight TV where Zhao has been under a first-
    look deal.

Beyond the pilot order, I hear the reboot is starting a writers
    room soon,
a sign that Hulu and the studios have high expectations for the
    project
going to series. It is unclear yet whether other original Buffy cast >>>>> members would return; that is considered likely.

Described as the next chapter in the Buffyverse,

Mostly by people who hadn’t read the authorized comic books

    the new incarnation is
executive produced by Gellar, Zhao, Nora and Lilla Zuckerman as
    well as the
original series’ executive producers Gail Berman of the Jackal
    Group and
Fran Kuzui & Kaz Kuzui via Suite B.

Those dirty leeches will bleed this property till the end of time.
    Thanks,
    Directors union.

Also executive producing the pilot is
Dolly Parton whose company Sandollar was producer on the original.

    Yikes!

Buffy creator Joss Whedon, who also wrote the 1992 movie the series
    was
based on, has no involvement in the reboot. He has not worked in
    Hollywood
in any official capacity since facing a slew of misconduct
    allegations in
    2021.

    Duh.

Oh, the top of the link has a click about how they finally charged Neil
Gayman with some really ugly stuff.

    Yep. Heard about thiat.

Well, this is better than Whedon's previous idea for a reboot.

    I don’t know about that?

    It is.

    But I'm
skeptical about the whole thing until somebody proves to me otherwise. >>>> (Like, a good start, would be ignoring the last 4 seasons of the
original series and all of "Angel"!!  ;p  )

I don’t see how it can possibly be a reboot if Geller is playing Buffy. >>
"Reboot" is the wrong word. (Entertainment reporters are consistently
mentally deficient, not knowing the basic meaning of the terms they use!)

If Gellar is playing "older Buffy" (and esp. if other "Buffy" cast
members return), this would be a "revival" not a "reboot".

Ian  (One we know won't be returning is Amber Benson. I would put
heavy odds against either Eliza Dushku or Michelle Trachtenberg
    returning either.)

Why wouldn't Amber Benson return? Did she have a falling out with
someone? I know she's barely acting anymore, in any event.

    https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0072435/

She apparently hates Alyson Hannigan's guts. (I think she also came to
despise Whedon, though I don't think that matters anymore.)

If Hannigan is involved, Benson won't be.

Aside from that, I kind of get the feeling that Benson isn't acting much
    these days.

She was in this Buffy podcast in 2023, along with several others of the original cast:

Whether he was a cad or not, his writing is what made the show what it was. I >don't have high hopes it will recapture the magic without him.

Depends on whether they can get other writers from the show, minus Marti Noxious.

If the Hulu pilot goes to series, it would be the third in the franchise,
following mothership Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which aired on the WB for
five seasons from 1997-2001 before dramatically moving to UPN for two more

Why was the move to UPN 'dramatic'?

I dont know how dramatic it was but, at the time, a lot of places didn't
even have a UPN affiliate. I had none on cable here in NY state. I don't
know if you remember him from the buffy group but George Gavalos (I think
that was it) sent me vhs tapes of episodes for a while because I was active
in that newsgroup. I later learned about piracy from the buffy binaries group. :D
I never watched Star Trek Enterprise because of the lack of UPN and once I
was spoiled on the ending, I never watched it later.

I'd probably watch a reboot but i'm one of those fans who felt the show went downhill in later seasons due to choices they made. (spike, cough, spike) Nothing can really repeat the "High school is hell(mouth)" metaphor from the first three years.

    You've answered your own question.

The story goes that Hannigan was an asshole to Benson (was basically a
"mean girl" to her), and because Hannigan was one of Whedon's "pets" she
    got away with it.

Benson eventually got fed up with the situation, and left the show/was
    written out.

If Hannigan is involved, Benson won't be.

Aside from that, I kind of get the feeling that Benson isn't acting much
    these days.

Except for David Boreanaz, who among the cast is really is that active? Alyson had a nice career with the American pie movies and How I met your mother but most haven't done a lot since Buffy.

A lot of them are hitting Anim's magic "turned 40 or 50" age, which is
when a lot of actresses pretty much quit the business. I get the
impression that Charisma Carpenter is pretty much retired now. Same for
Dushku who hasn't acted since "Bull" and the accompanying lawsuit.
Benson rarely acts these days, and it felt like she was transitioning to directing. Trachtenberg is another one who hasn't acted in ages, and the
last thing I think she did was host a "true crime" show, and I think
only did that for one season.

I could see Hannigan being up for a "Buffy" revival series. But I'd bet
most of the other actresses associated with the show either aren't
interested in coming back, or won't come back.

Well, this is better than Whedon's previous idea for a reboot.

    I don’t know about that?

skeptical about the whole thing until somebody proves to me otherwise. >>>>>>> (Like, a good start, would be ignoring the last 4 seasons of the >>>>>>> original series and all of "Angel"!!  ;p  )

I don’t see how it can possibly be a reboot if Geller is playing Buffy.

"Reboot" is the wrong word. (Entertainment reporters are consistently >>>>> mentally deficient, not knowing the basic meaning of the terms they use!)

Why was that? I'm not up on all the soap opera stuff of their private lives
except what came out about Joss. I got the impression tho that Alyson was >> one of Joss's favorites since she was about the only one who didnt come out >> saying anything about him.

    You've answered your own question.

The story goes that Hannigan was an asshole to Benson (was basically a
"mean girl" to her), and because Hannigan was one of Whedon's "pets" she
    got away with it.

Benson eventually got fed up with the situation, and left the show/was written out.

If Hannigan is involved, Benson won't be.

Aside from that, I kind of get the feeling that Benson isn't acting much >>> these days.

Except for David Boreanaz, who among the cast is really is that active?
Alyson had a nice career with the American pie movies and How I met your
mother but most haven't done a lot since Buffy.

A lot of them are hitting Anim's magic "turned 40 or 50" age, which is
when a lot of actresses pretty much quit the business. I get the
impression that Charisma Carpenter is pretty much retired now.

Charisma lived in Pacific Palisades. I wonder if she still has a house?

Same for Dushku who hasn't acted since "Bull" and the accompanying
    lawsuit.

She's now a therapist and mom of two in Boston.

Benson rarely acts these days, and it felt like she was transitioning to directing. Trachtenberg is another one who hasn't acted in ages, and the
last thing I think she did was host a "true crime" show, and I think
only did that for one season.

And isn't Nicholas Brendon still in jail or something?

I could see Hannigan being up for a "Buffy" revival series. But I'd bet
most of the other actresses associated with the show either aren't
interested in coming back, or won't come back.

I could see Anthony Head coming back, too. He's still in the business.

Of course it was. What's a Hollywood 'reimagining' without a race-swap, >>>> right?

It’s the first order of business in the first meeting. “OK, who do we make
    black?“

What if we make the entire cast black? Wouldn't that be the best move?

Strangely, an entirely black cast (a la HAMILTON) is considered highly >diverse, even though, going by the commonly-accepted English language >definition of the word 'diverse', an all-black cast is exact opposite of >diverse.

That's because of the new definition of 'diverse' that some are
working under. Diverse meaning not white.

Keeslar retired from acting in 2010, citing financial difficulties and

They left Angel behind. So the drama!

I thought they moved to WB because UPN shut down (or was it combined to make the WB?).

Oh, the top of the link has a click about how they finally
    charged Neil
Gayman with some really ugly stuff.

    Yep. Heard about thiat.

Well, this is better than Whedon's previous idea for a reboot.

    I don’t know about that?

    It is.

    But I'm
skeptical about the whole thing until somebody proves to me
    otherwise.
(Like, a good start, would be ignoring the last 4 seasons of the >>>>>>>> original series and all of "Angel"!!  ;p  )

I don’t see how it can possibly be a reboot if Geller is playing >>>>>>> Buffy.

"Reboot" is the wrong word. (Entertainment reporters are consistently >>>>>> mentally deficient, not knowing the basic meaning of the terms
    they use!)

If Gellar is playing "older Buffy" (and esp. if other "Buffy" cast >>>>>> members return), this would be a "revival" not a "reboot".

Ian  (One we know won't be returning is Amber Benson. I would put >>>>>> heavy odds against either Eliza Dushku or Michelle Trachtenberg
    returning either.)

Why wouldn't Amber Benson return? Did she have a falling out with
someone? I know she's barely acting anymore, in any event.

    https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0072435/

She apparently hates Alyson Hannigan's guts. (I think she also came to >>>> despise Whedon, though I don't think that matters anymore.)

Why was that?  I'm not up on all the soap opera stuff of their
    private lives
except what came out about Joss.  I got the impression tho that
    Alyson was
one of Joss's favorites since she was about the only one who didnt
    come out
    saying anything about him.

    You've answered your own question.

The story goes that Hannigan was an asshole to Benson (was basically a
"mean girl" to her), and because Hannigan was one of Whedon's "pets"
    she got away with it.

Benson eventually got fed up with the situation, and left the show/was
    written out.

If Hannigan is involved, Benson won't be.

Aside from that, I kind of get the feeling that Benson isn't acting
    much
    these days.

Except for David Boreanaz, who among the cast is really is that active?
Alyson had a nice career with the American pie movies and How I met your >>> mother but most haven't done a lot since Buffy.

A lot of them are hitting Anim's magic "turned 40 or 50" age, which is
when a lot of actresses pretty much quit the business. I get the
impression that Charisma Carpenter is pretty much retired now. Same
for Dushku who hasn't acted since "Bull" and the accompanying lawsuit.
Benson rarely acts these days, and it felt like she was transitioning
to directing. Trachtenberg is another one who hasn't acted in ages,
and the last thing I think she did was host a "true crime" show, and I
think only did that for one season.

I could see Hannigan being up for a "Buffy" revival series. But I'd
bet most of the other actresses associated with the show either aren't
interested in coming back, or won't come back.

    That Buffy podcast I mentioned--"Slayers: A Buffyverse Storu," 9
episodes in Oct. 2023--had several of the BtVS actors: James Marsters, Charisma Carpenter, Emma Caulfield Ford, Juliet Landau, Amber Benson and
Tony Head. I imagine they might be interested in a sequel.

    --Robin

Emma Caulfield is one of the few others that I could see coming back -
    but didn't her character die?!

    Head as well.

Landau seemed to disappear after "Buffy".

Of course it was. What's a Hollywood 'reimagining' without a race-swap,
    right?

It’s the first order of business in the first meeting. “OK, who do we make
    black?“

Second order of business, "Who can we make disabled?"

(Buffy was already female, so that means they can skip the gender-swap step.)

    I don't

I never watched Star Trek Enterprise because of the lack of UPN and once I was spoiled on the ending, I never watched it later.

    You dodged a bullet there!

I'd probably watch a reboot but i'm one of those fans who felt the show went downhill in later seasons due to choices they made. (spike, cough, spike)

Described as the next chapter in the Buffyverse,

Mostly by people who hadn’t read the authorized comic books

    the new incarnation is

Well, this is better than Whedon's previous idea for a reboot.

    It is.

    But I'm
skeptical about the whole thing until somebody proves to me otherwise. >>>>>> (Like, a good start, would be ignoring the last 4 seasons of the

If Gellar is playing "older Buffy" (and esp. if other "Buffy" cast
members return), this would be a "revival" not a "reboot".

Ian  (One we know won't be returning is Amber Benson. I would put heavy >>>> odds against either Eliza Dushku or Michelle Trachtenberg returning
    either.)

Why wouldn't Amber Benson return? Did she have a falling out with
someone? I know she's barely acting anymore, in any event.

    https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0072435/

She was in this Buffy podcast in 2023, along with several others of the
    original cast:

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt29118106/

    --Robin

And perhaps more importantly, she played dub dub in THE MIDDLEMAN!

    (Well? I am waiting?)

    Middleman!

    But two questions:

You know that Natalie Morales played Dub Dub. So who are you referring to?

Back before Adam made Natalie hate me. I got all sorts of special project
stuff and extras from her. One of them was a crossover done as a table read/radio play between the middleman comic book and the middleman TV show! Amber Benson happens to look like the comic book dub dub, so they brought
her in and had both dub dubs in the video. Also, I believe there was a
    comic book version of it.

And what happened to Matt Keeslar, the Middleman himself? IMDb lists
only four credits after "The Middleman" in 2008, the last in 2015.

He just basically got out of the business and moved back up to the Pacific Northwest as I recall, and went back to civilian life.

Same for Dushku who hasn't acted since "Bull" and the accompanying

Benson rarely acts these days, and it felt like she was transitioning to >>> directing. Trachtenberg is another one who hasn't acted in ages, and the >>> last thing I think she did was host a "true crime" show, and I think

And even if he doesn’t show up, we’ve got a spare.

I could see Hannigan being up for a "Buffy" revival series. But I'd bet

I could see Anthony Head coming back, too. He's still in the business.

What's the point? If memory serves, it ended with Sunnydale being destroyed and a bunch of slayers leaving on a school bus.

I really hate attempts to cash in on nostalga.

The Buffy season eight comic book (officially authorized, and sometimes
written by Joss himself) was absolutely excellent.

Angel continued in comic book form as well and he got to keep the dragon!

And their solution to keeping Wesley in the series was brilliant and so
obvious I was kicking myself for not thinking of it.

Why was that?  I'm not up on all the soap opera stuff of their
    private lives
except what came out about Joss.

>>>> Alyson had a nice career with the American pie movies and How I met your >>>> mother but most haven't done a lot since Buffy.

A lot of them are hitting Anim's magic "turned 40 or 50" age, which is

I could see Hannigan being up for a "Buffy" revival series. But I'd
bet most of the other actresses associated with the show either aren't
interested in coming back, or won't come back.

    That Buffy podcast I mentioned--"Slayers: A Buffyverse Storu," 9
episodes in Oct. 2023--had several of the BtVS actors: James Marsters,
Charisma Carpenter, Emma Caulfield Ford, Juliet Landau, Amber Benson and
Tony Head. I imagine they might be interested in a sequel.

    --Robin

Emma Caulfield is one of the few others that I could see coming back -
    but didn't her character die?!

Buffy is like the old joke we made about dark shadows. Dying on dark
shadows didn’t mean you left the show. It meant you got a bigger part.

    Head as well.

Landau seemed to disappear after "Buffy".

I see her all the time on the X promoting something she’s in.

Same for Dushku who hasn't acted since "Bull" and the accompanying

Seriously. A couple years ago when it was still Twitter, three
friends/people I followed, announced all of the same day that they were
moving to the Instagram. So I followed them over and set up an Instagram account and answered all their questions. I didn’t even look around beyond seeing that I could see the people I wanted to, I didn’t post, I just went about my business elsewhere.

The next day I got a message from the Google that I hadn’t given them my
cell phone number [I answered all the questions they asked) and that unless
I did, they would cancel and block me out of Instagram.

I ignored them and the next day they made good on their threat.

I hope Dexter doesn't find a reason to murder her.

I agree Gellar looks good for her age and seems to have avoided the Hollywood trap of turning herself into a version of the Joker with plastic surgery but I don't like her character on DEXTER. She seems out of place; she doesn't gel with the show, is the best way I can describe it. Christina Milian, on the other hand, is fantastic casting as a young LaGuerta. She not only looks the part, but she obviously studied the original show and has recreated the character perfectly.

I also never recall thinking when I watched the original show how absurd it is that the Miami-Dade Forensics Department is basically just a large closet off the side of the homicide detective's bullpen. A major city like Miami? They'd have their own building. How has Horatio Caine not thrown a fit over this?

    Duh.

    Yep. Heard about thiat.

    It is.

    But I'm

(Like, a good start, would be ignoring the last 4 seasons of the >>>>>>>>> original series and all of "Angel"!!  ;p  )

I don’t see how it can possibly be a reboot if Geller is playing Buffy.

"Reboot" is the wrong word. (Entertainment reporters are consistently >>>>>>> mentally deficient, not knowing the basic meaning of the terms they use!)

If Gellar is playing "older Buffy" (and esp. if other "Buffy" cast >>>>>>> members return), this would be a "revival" not a "reboot".

Why wouldn't Amber Benson return? Did she have a falling out with
someone? I know she's barely acting anymore, in any event.

She was in this Buffy podcast in 2023, along with several others of the >>>>>> original cast:

I got all sorts of special project >>> stuff and extras from her. One of them was a crossover done as a table
read/radio play between the middleman comic book and the middleman TV show! >>> Amber Benson happens to look like the comic book dub dub, so they brought >>> her in and had both dub dubs in the video. Also, I believe there was a
    comic book version of it.

What a great story! I had no idea there was a Middleman comic book.

Oh, yeah, it was an unfilmed TV pilot turned into a comic book before it
was TV and then it was a comic book based on TV. The first episode of the show the dialogue is almost verbatim from the comic.

This is great stuff, thanks! I knew nothing about the comic.

What a shame about the show--why didn't people watch it? And it's a
shame that Matt Keeslar left acting. He acted for 16 years and Middleman
was the only regular role he ever had, and it was just 12 episodes. I
don't remember his guest spot in other shows, but he was in several
shows that I watched, so I must have seen him.

Acting is a tough business. There are so many actors. Every day in
stories on Deadline I see (lots of) names I've never heard of before.

‘Buffy The Vampire Slayer’ Reboot Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar
    Nears Hulu
Pilot Order With Chloé Zhao Directing

    By Nellie Andreeva
    February 3, 2025 12:30pm

More than two decades after Buffy the Vampire Slayer ended its >>>>>>>>>>> seven-season
run, the beloved supernatural drama is eyeing a revival with a new >>>>>>>>>>> chapter
in the franchise. A followup series is nearing a pilot order from Hulu,
with Sarah Michelle Gellar expected to star, reprising her signature
    role
as Buffy Summers, sources said. Oscar winner Chloé Zhao, a >>>>>>>>>>> self-professed
lifelong Buffy fan, is set to direct the pilot, written by Nora and >>>>>>>>>>> Lilla
    Zuckerman (Poker Face).

The reboot hails from Buffy the Vampire Slayer studio 20th >>>>>>>>>>> Television and
Disney sibling Searchlight TV where Zhao has been under a first-look
    deal.

Beyond the pilot order, I hear the reboot is starting a writers room
    soon,
a sign that Hulu and the studios have high expectations for the project
going to series. It is unclear yet whether other original Buffy cast
members would return; that is considered likely.

Described as the next chapter in the Buffyverse,

Mostly by people who hadn’t read the authorized comic books >>>>>>>>>
    the new incarnation is
executive produced by Gellar, Zhao, Nora and Lilla Zuckerman as well
    as the
original series’ executive producers Gail Berman of the Jackal Group
    and
Fran Kuzui & Kaz Kuzui via Suite B.

Those dirty leeches will bleed this property till the end of time. >>>>>>>>> Thanks,
    Directors union.

Also executive producing the pilot is
Dolly Parton whose company Sandollar was producer on the original. >>>>>>>>>>
    Yikes!

Buffy creator Joss Whedon, who also wrote the 1992 movie the series was
based on, has no involvement in the reboot. He has not worked in >>>>>>>>>>> Hollywood
in any official capacity since facing a slew of misconduct >>>>>>>>>>> allegations in
    2021.

(Like, a good start, would be ignoring the last 4 seasons of the >>>>>>>>>> original series and all of "Angel"!!  ;p  )

I don’t see how it can possibly be a reboot if Geller is playing Buffy.

"Reboot" is the wrong word. (Entertainment reporters are consistently >>>>>>>> mentally deficient, not knowing the basic meaning of the terms they use!)

If Gellar is playing "older Buffy" (and esp. if other "Buffy" cast >>>>>>>> members return), this would be a "revival" not a "reboot".

Ian  (One we know won't be returning is Amber Benson. I would put heavy
odds against either Eliza Dushku or Michelle Trachtenberg returning >>>>>>>> either.)

Why wouldn't Amber Benson return? Did she have a falling out with >>>>>>> someone? I know she's barely acting anymore, in any event.

    https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0072435/

She was in this Buffy podcast in 2023, along with several others of the >>>>>>> original cast:

    https://www.imdb.com/title/tt29118106/

I got all sorts of special project >>>> stuff and extras from her. One of them was a crossover done as a table >>>> read/radio play between the middleman comic book and the middleman TV show!
Amber Benson happens to look like the comic book dub dub, so they brought >>>> her in and had both dub dubs in the video. Also, I believe there was a >>>> comic book version of it.

What a great story! I had no idea there was a Middleman comic book.

Oh, yeah, it was an unfilmed TV pilot turned into a comic book before it
was TV and then it was a comic book based on TV. The first episode of the
show the dialogue is almost verbatim from the comic.

    --Robin

I have noticed him in a few things over the years, especially law and
order, but he played Jekyll and Hyde? I have to look that up!

Either way, Sarah Michelle Gellar is still appealing and she still has
that little girl voice. In the latest Dexter tv series, she looks good.
I hope Dexter doesn't find a reason to murder her.

In olden days when film was a thing, I worked for a retail photography
store that was also a supplier to big customers. We had the police
department. Intelligence (the undercover photographers) were at the
well-known former police precinct on Maxwell Street (now a police
station again for University of Illinois at Chicago), and the
crime-scene photographers were at the police headquarters complex, three adjacent buildings connected at upper levels whose floors didn't match.
The place was a joke, 'cuz there was also a courthouse (for felony
arraignments but not trials) and a police precinct. Cops, prisoners,
lawyers, judges, and visitors all shared the same elevators.

There were police forensics sharing buildings with detectives at the
time. In the current system, in which detectives were removed from
police stations and placed into new Area police stations (that also had
a local police precinct and an arraignment courtroom), there are
certainly police forensics in those buildings shared with detectives.

The one thing I never bought about the original Dexter was the guy who
stuck his hands in the blood brought donuts for everyone. That was unappetising.

If the Hulu pilot goes to series, it would be the third in the franchise, >>following mothership Buffy the Vampire Slayer, which aired on the WB for >>five seasons from 1997-2001 before dramatically moving to UPN for two more

Why was the move to UPN 'dramatic'?

The show was produced at Twentieth Television. Fox dramatically raised the per-episode license fee after Season 5. The WB wasn't willing to pay it and dramatically cancelled it. UPN, desperate for viewers, dramatically
ordered the show back into production.

That's the most dramatic answer I can give you.

I'm doubting Charisma Carpenter was ever "big" enough for that. She
started out as a profession cheerleader (they get paid peanuts!), and
then never headlined her own TV show, instead just being supporting cast
    in two shows.

My guess is that she did well enough to own a nice house in a place like
L.A., but likely not better than that.

But she may have married "rich", I don't know...

Charisma lived in Pacific Palisades. I wonder if she still has a
    house?

No idea. Just looked at her Instagram and it looks like she's spent
the last month living in New York City. No mention of her home burning >>>> down while a number of other posts about the fire so I guess if she
still lives in the Palisades her home is one that survived.

CC has been living in NY since Nov. 2023, at least according to her
    IG account.

As a 'celebrity', she probably owns about 10 houses all in different
places, but only actually lives in one of them.

I'm doubting Charisma Carpenter was ever "big" enough for that. She
started out as a profession cheerleader (they get paid peanuts!), and
then never headlined her own TV show, instead just being supporting cast
    in two shows.

My guess is that she did well enough to own a nice house in a place like L.A., but likely not better than that.

But she may have married "rich", I don't know...

She's single now, and has been so for many years.
