Russia ready to attack NATO as Kremlin puppets 'eye up' major European
    capital
President Donald Trump suggested that Ukraine "may be Russian someday" as
a new threat assessment is issued with Russia's alarming plans for a war against NATO countries

The Danish Defense Intelligence Agency (DEA) has warned that if the war
in Ukraine halts or freezes and NATO does not concurrently rearm, Russia
could be prepared for a large-scale European conflict.

The DEA's new threat assessment indicated an escalating military threat
in the coming years. It further estimated that Russia could wage a local
war in a bordering country within six months, posing a credible threat to individual or multiple NATO countries within two years, and be ready for
a large-scale war on the European continent within approximately five
years, assuming the United States does not intervene.

"Russia is likely to be more willing to use military force in a regional
war against one or more European NATO countries if it perceives NATO as militarily weakened or politically divided," the report, released on
    Tuesday, stated.

However, these timelines are based on the assumption that NATO does not simultaneously rearm at the same pace. The threat assessment came as
newly inaugurated US President Donald Trump pushed for an end to the
    conflict in Ukraine.

Trump has asked NATO members to up their defense spending by five percent
of GDP. He also alluded to the US withdrawal from military allies if
other countries do not financially contribute. In 2024, Trump stated he'd "encourage" Russia to attack any NATO member countries that failed to
    pay.

Meanwhile, Russian propagandists have made comments that inflate fears of
more significant Russian aspirations. However, the views they stated
would go against Russia's exaggeration that US and NATO expansion
    threatens Moscow’s existence.

"They also dream of capturing Odesa and Mykolaiv and for Crimea to be recognized as Russia," the Ukrainian patriot said of the Russian
