Looks like it popped up on my Facebook feed anyway. I was slightly
interested until I saw kickstarter and thought it was a fan made film.

    From IMDb:

"After an invisible asteroid draws an astronaut and his ship to its

That sounds really dumb - Do I even want to see this in 3-D?!!

Yeah, I had to pull the link from the Kickstarter because the link from the Facebook ad didn’t work. Doesn’t give me a lot of confidence.

I thought Arthur would like to see that anybody was even attempting to make
    a 3-D Blu-ray in 2025.

You can watch it for free on Youtube, but not in 3-D. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MTkOud2MBso

3D isn't popular in the U.S. but it's still being manufactured and sold
around the world. I just ordered some imports the other day from a site
in Germany that has a bunch of U.S. movies in 3D with English Dolby
    Atmos audio.

    https://turbine-shop.de/KATALOG/TECHNIK/Blu-ray-3D/

I was particularly interested in Friday the 13th part 3 3D. I actually
already own that in 3D, but there were some issues with the 3D picture
that they fixed for this new release. They didn't upgrade the audio,
but fixing the 3D made it worth the double dip.

"Previous releases of the film have struggled with significant
distortions. Such errors in 3D rendering do not necessarily lead to a
complete loss of the 3D effect, as the brain has a certain tolerance.
But looking at faulty 3D images is exhausting and causes constant headaches.

Turbine has therefore had extensive corrections and improvements based
on the existing 3D master for the release on Blu-ray 3D. This is how the
image was adjusted in the parameters of horizontal position, vertical
position, zoom, rotation, keystone X, keystone Y and trim. These
optimizations were performed for both eyes together and for the left and
right separately, i.e. 21 parameters per image setting in total. The
adjustment of the image parameters took place in stages when the camera
was still. If the image was moving in a scene through camera rotation,
angle change or zooming, these 21 parameters had to be adjusted for each position. The parameters were initially determined automatically with
the help of a 3D correction system and then fine-tuned manually."

Imports are also a good way to get movies that for whatever reason were
never released in the U.S. Since I was on the site anyway I was taking
a look at what else they had in their catalog and found "An American
Werewolf in Paris" in 4K. That never even had a blu-ray release in the
U.S. I know it's not a great movie or anything, but I never owned it in
any format, and the last time I tried to watch was a horrible experience
on one of those off brand streaming sites.

Although I have a region free player, a lot of imports are region free,
and 4K discs are (almost always) region free.

God, I got eye strain just reading that!

I’ve got both the SUPERCAR and THE TIME TUNNEL Blu-ray box sets that claim
to be region B but play fine because Blu-ray doesn’t actually support
    region encoding like DVD does.
