Driving into work on Thursday morning, some residents in Rochester, New York, saw an apparent threat against billionaire and Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Chair Elon Musk scrawled on an overpass.

The Daily Wire spoke to two residents who saw the graffiti, photos of which have been posted online. The graffiti reads, "Who will kill Elon?" It was plastered on a 490 off-ramp bridge to Howell Street.

Barbara Pierce, Director of Bureau of Communications & Special Events for the City of Rochester, told The Daily Wire via email on Thursday that the "offensive graffiti" was removed "as soon as the city became aware of it."

The Daily Wire also reached out to the Rochester Police Department and New
York State police about the incident, but has yet to receive a response.

In recent weeks, Democrats have picked up their attacks on Musk, whom they suggest is causing a "constitutional crisis" as he finds waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government.

This past week, for example, Rep. Robert Garcia (D-CA) called Musk a "d***"
who is "harming the American public in an enormous way" and called for Americans to bring "actual weapons to this bar fight."

"What I think is really important and what the American public want is for us to bring actual weapons to this bar fight," he said on CNN airwaves. "This is an actual fight for democracy, for the future of this country. And it's important to push back on the chairperson of this committee."

Other prominent Democrats have used similarly incendiary language when it
comes to Musk. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed those attacks during a press briefing.

"President Trump was elected with a mandate by the American People to make
this government more efficient," she told reporters. "He campaigned across
this country with Elon Musk, vowing that Elon was going to head up the Department of Government Efficiency, and the two of them, with a great team around them, were going to look at the receipts of this federal government
and ensure it's accountable to American taxpayers. That's all that is
    happening here."

"If you heard that type of violence-inciting rhetoric from our side
of the aisle, from Republican leaders on Capitol Hill, I think there
would be a lot more outrage in this room today."@PressSec addresses

A chapter president with Turning Point USA (TPUSA) was reportedly assaulted
on campus at University of Texas in Dallas on Tuesday.

Paige Neumann and her chapter vice president Grace were “tabling” — sitting
at a table on campus and handing out literature to interested students — when someone approached the table on a bike and then attacked them, shattering
    both girls’ phones.

TPUSA CEO Charlie Kirk shared videos and photos from the incident, describing what Neumann said had happened and noting that University Police had been briefed on the situation and were actively tracking down the alleged perpetrator.

“Paige has filed a police report with University Police who are thankfully taking this matter seriously and are currently searching for the individual. Thankfully, Paige and her chapter VP Grace (whose phone was also destroyed)
are both physically doing okay,” Kirk added.

“Our @TPUSA students are the tip of the spear on college campuses across the country. They are brave, strong, and resilient. Thank God for these amazing students,” he said.

Kirk later added, “The team suspects this to be the case but is unsure. This individual is believed to be the same person who disrupted a recent event

A new study finds that 55% of self-identified leftists thought murdering President Donald Trump would be somewhat justifiable.

The Network of Contagion Research Institute (NCRI) joined Rutgers
University's Social Perception Lab to conduct the study titled "Assassination Culture: How Burning Teslas and Killing Billionaires Became a Meme Aesthetic for Political Violence," which states that an "assassination culture" appears to be "emerging within segments of the U.S. public on the extreme left, with expanding targets now including figures such as Donald Trump," The Federalist reports.

"These attitudes are not fringe -- they reflect an emergent assassination culture, grounded in far-left authoritarianism and increasingly normalized in digital discourse," the report declares.

The report states that 55% of respondents who viewed themselves as left-of- center said the murder of Trump could be somewhat justified; 48% said the
same of Elon Musk. Among all respondents, 38% said it would be somewhat justified if Trump were assassinated, while 31% said the same about Musk.

The report claims the social media platform BlueSky "plays a significant and predictive role in amplifying radical ideation."

"NCRI also found that users are increasingly tying the 'memification' of (Luigi) Mangione with calls for political violence against Trump, Musk and others, 'reflecting the growing cyber-social presence of assassination culture,'" The Federalist reported.

"This report points to disturbingly high levels of support for political violence, particularly targeting President Donald Trump and Elon Musk," the report asserts. "Across survey responses, nearly one-third of respondents--
and a significantly higher share of left-leaning respondents--expressed some degree of justification for acts of lethal violence."

"Unless political and cultural leadership explicitly confronts and condemns this trend, NCRI assesses a growing probability of real-world escalation,"
the report warns. "Given the current economic volatility and institutional distrust, the online normalization of political violence may increasingly translate into offline action."

    Unfortunately I agree.

Long term it's toxic to the Republic (or any other nation) but human
nature being what it is it's unlikely for that mentality to disappear
    any time soon.

A city councilman from Danville, Virginia, was doused in gasoline and set on fire in a horrific attack on Wednesday, multiple reports have confirmed.

Danville City Councilman Lee Vogler, 38, was allegedly attacked by Shotsie Michael Buck Hayes, 29 — who has since been placed under arrest — in the offices of Showcase Magazine. Hayes, according to the outlet’s publisher and local law enforcement, dumped a five-gallon bucket of gasoline over Vogler — and when Vogler ran out of the building, Hayes followed and set him on fire.

Vogler was able to identify his attacker at the scene and was airlifted to a hospital for emergency treatment. “Lee is awake and talking, and is en route
to the burns center in Lynchburg,” Andrew Brooks, publisher of Showcase Magazine, said in a statement.

“Our hearts and prayers are with him. We don’t really know what to say,”
    Brooks added.

According to multiple reports, Vogler and the suspect knew each other prior
to the attack, and the motive is not believed to be political.

“Please join me in praying for Councilman Lee Vogler and for his family. We stand with Danville and support a full investigation into this attack.
Violence is never the answer and must be condemned,” Lt. Governor Winsome
Sears responded to the attack with a call for prayer — and an investigation.

John Reid, who is running to be Virginia’s next Lt. Governor, added, “What happened in Danville is horrifying. A deranged individual broke into the offices of Showcase Magazine and set City Councilman J. Lee Vogler on fire.
Let me say this as clearly as I can: Violence has no place in our
Commonwealth. No disagreement ever justifies hatred, threats, or brutality.”

“Today, we stand with J. Lee Vogler. We are praying for his full recovery,
for strength in the days ahead, and for peace for his loved ones and the
entire Danville community. This is about humanity. It’s about drawing a line and saying, ‘Enough.’ We can disagree without dehumanizing. We can debate without descending into chaos. Virginia is better than this. And we all have
a role to play in keeping it that way,” he continued.

Definitely seems a first class candidate for being locked away with
the key thrown away - how can such a person sensibly claim in court
that his intent was NOT to bring about his victim's demise?

That's as extremely aggravated assault as it gets.

I read about this, the article I read said the attacker admitted trying
to kill the victim and it was something personal not related to his
    position as a city councilman.
