• What Did You Watch? 2025-03-17 (Monday)

    From Ian J. Ball@21:1/5 to All on Tue Mar 18 08:05:53 2025
Mondays are my longest workdays this semester, and I had just gotten
back from travel anyway, so I didn't watch much yesterday. Just trying
to still catch up on soaps from last week:

    soaps: DOOL - Tue's and Wed's ep's. Mostly, these weren't very
interesting. The main event was the Joy pregnancy drama thing - they
ended up doing the exact opposite of what I was expecting: I figured Joy wouldn't be preggers and would lie and say she was, but instead it turns
out she is pregnant but lies to Alex and Stephanie and says she isn't.
(So, is Joy going to get an abortion?...) Xander and NuPhilip let Alex
in on the plan to hostile takeover DiMera. Brady refuses to back up Ava
when she wants to go to the cops after being attacked by Kristen's crazy
mommy, and so she drops Brady like a rock. (Righteous! Now I hope Ava
goes to the cops anyway!) Kristen's crazy mommy blackmails EJ (maybe EJ
will have her killed?...). NuGabi is incensed that Belle and Paulina
seem to be doing nothing to bring EJ in for allegedly kidnapping Rafe.
Javi wants to move Leo in with Rafe and Gabi (yeah! that'll go over
    great!!).

Otherwise, I left LMN movies on in the background - last night, LMN
reaired 2024's "Killing for Extra Credit" (with Jake T. Austin as the "surprise" killer!!) as part of their "Spring Breakdowns". Meh.

    What did you watch?

    What did you watch?

    I watched:

Cobra Kai (Netflix) "Underdogs" - Season 6, episode 4 - The new combined
Cobra Kai Miyagi-Do dojo have to select 6 students to compete in the big tournament and to make the selection process fair, Daniel and Johnny
agree to bring in Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan), the hired goon from Karate
Kid part 3 to select the top six. I love how this show keeps bringing
back the characters from the movies. Johnny and Mike don't get along,
leading to the two of them having a gratuitous fight. Of course, this
is Cobra Kai, and every episode has at least two gratuitous fights. Not
that I'm complaining. It was nice seeing the villain from part 1 and
the villain from part 3 talking smack about each other then fighting.

    Matlock "Game Face" - Season 1, episode 15 - I really didn't give this
    my full attention.

Found - "Missing While Seeking Asylum" - Season 2, episode 15. More
    background noise.

Invincible (Amazon) - "I Thought You'd Never Shut Up" - Season 3 finale.
I keep on forgetting to mention I watched the finale a few days ago.
This was a really good season finale. The penultimate episode was
basically 30 minutes of nonstop fighting. And the finale was also 30
minutes of non stop fighting, just a different opponent. But this show
has some excellent no holds barred fight sequences.
