• Algerian national arrested on serial rape

    Dear Trump administration:

This is what probable cause looks like.

An Algerian national was arrested at O'Hare Airport returning to
Chicago, where he's lived for four years, working for a limo company.
He's married. Previously, he lived in New York. The article didn't say
what kind of visa he had.

He's been charged in a series of five sexual assaults, one of which was attempted rape, the others were rape, and felonies committed in
attacking and holding the women. He stalked women, laying in wait for an opportunity and would attack as they were returning home late at night.
The victims never saw their stalker but several were able to identify
his face, having seen it during the crime. He's being charged with 16
felonies and 2 misdemeanors and is being held in pre-trial custody. I
wonder if he'd have gotten home confinement if he'd been a citizen.

No "secret evidence from intelligence sources", no "we can't tell you
what we know as it will compromise police confidentiality". Evidence,
from DNA matches, was gathered against him.

I have no idea if police are aware of other crimes; I suspect there were
plenty of other crimes. These are the crimes that can be charged.

One wonders if there were crimes in New York.

Convict him, let him serve prison time, then deport his ass.

The reporters had been contacted by crime victims earlier in 2025 and it appeared that a series of rapes fit a pattern.
