What does the monologue on Paramount+ say? I have ST:TOS in the enhanced version but it still has the original monologue.

Is it "to boldly go where no ONE has gone before" or have they gone
full-woke to the point where they list *all* the imaginary genders?

That was changed for Patrick Stewart to read in Next Generation.

In statutory language, unless it doesn't make sense, use of male gender
implies female gender. No thoughtful person ever accused Jefferson of
being anti-feminist with the phrase "All men are created equal". It just sounded more poetic that writing with inclusive language.

Yes, I know that. I'm just trying to understand what changes they've
made for the version they're showing on Paramount+ now, which have
    apparently drawn Shatner's ire.

    Yes, I know that, too.

I'm actually okay with Picard's phrasing, although I agree it is
unnecessary pandering to feminists or whoever insisted the original
    wording was offensive.

But I will be horrified if it turns out that the Paramount+ wording says
"where no man, woman, non-binary, pan-sexual, two-spirit, queer,
homosexual, lesbian, asexual etc. etc. etc. has gone before".

First, it’s not “enhanced“ it’s “vandalized“

    :-)

I no longer have Paramount+ but if I understand the Shat correctly, they’ve just garbled the audio in the opening so you can’t tell what he says. It’s no worse than making the gold shirts green or the terrible low end CGI
    video game effects.

Actually, I liked the enhanced/vandalized version. They did a better job
on the shots that happen in space. I also appreciated that they restored
the short and arguably unimportant scenes that had been cut over the
years to enable them to show ever more commercials.

I no longer have Paramount+ but if I understand the Shat correctly, they’ve just garbled the audio in the opening so you can’t tell what he says. It’s

If that's what they did, it's truly weird. Change it or leave it alone
but to just bury it in noise or mute it is hideous. Mind you, it would
be on par with the behaviour of all the "activists" who love to shout
over anyone they disagree with rather than letting them say their piece
and then perhaps debating with them. But the "activists" don't want
anyone hearing anything that their masters haven't endorsed and probably
don't have substantive arguments anyway, so they just shout over those
that aren't sufficiently enthusiastic about "progressive" ideology.

Although Shatner walks on water, he glosses over some harder issues,
such as statues that toggle between 'history' and 'admiration'.

I like that term, but mispronounced it at first. Someone previously gave it a much more forgetable name that I cannot remember.
