I just saw this article about Jenna Bush and immediately remembered that
you had been one of her USSS detail:

    https://people.com/jenna-bush-hager-recalls-faking-her-own-kidnapping-in-first-grade-11713813

My first thought was, wow, I *know* the agent that she's talking about.
But then I remembered that you were guarding her while she was in
college, not elementary school. So you are NOT the agent in her anecdote
are you? Or did you guard her in elementary school AND at college?

Long before my time. That was when her grandfather was president.

Have you been watching the final season of Bosch Legacy? I have and saw
an old real-life acquaintance of yours: Jessica Camacho. I remember you
having a run-in with her on her bicycle a few months back. I just
finished episode 7 and I believe she was in episode 6 as well.

As soon as I saw her name in the credits, I realized why she looked
familiar: it was the picture you posted here after your run-in. (I'd
also seen her in a previous season of Bosch.)

I was biking on the Santa Monica bike path and as I came around the back end
of a truck that was blocking the path, I was suddenly hit by someone else coming the other way, who was also trying to get around the truck. I fell over and skidded across the pavement and she barely kept herself upright, then got off to help me up. It was only then that I realized it was Jessica Camacho.

I was prepared to be angry since I had the right of way but she's a very cute latina and those are my Kryptonite, so my anger dissipated quickly.

She copped to being in the wrong and gave me her phone number to let her know if my bike needed any repairs so she could pay for it. I told her it was fine and not to worry about it and we went on our way. I don't think she knew I recognized her.

So no. No elbows to the head.

A video about unintended discharges from Sig P320 pistols just showed up
in my YouTube feed and I immediately thought of you.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NapE4CkWpHk

Isn't that the pistol you used in the USSS? I seem to remember you
assuring me that the P320 is unquestionably "drop safe". This video
calls that into question due to an airman who (apparently) shot himself
by setting his holstered P320 on a desk, which (apparently) caused the
pistol to put a fatal round in his chest.

He said no information about the circumstances have been
released which makes it a guessing game. A general rule
is that no gun with a chambered round is drop safe.

The gun may have been worn out or modified, or carelessly
    handled.

I wonder if Sig will come up with a fix and then do a recall that

of the problem and send a cheque to existing owners to compensate them?

That video seems to show the extreme opposite of Drop Safe,
but he doesn't actually explain anything.

When the military does torture tests (the good type of
torture) of guns like this they should publicly
release the results of the tests, and it is derelict
not to do so, but being informative would be the
opposite of a gun control measure.

The interests of the gun control lobby is for guns to
fail and to kill their user, so they seem to have won
    this round.
