• What Did You Watch? 2025-04-17 (Thursday)

From Ubiquitous@21:1/5 to All on Fri Apr 18 04:30:41 2025
After an arduous workout on the day there was a shooting on the side of town,
    I watched:

    Nothing.

(No, I did not watch the unprofessional coverage, but I heard there were students recording the injured without rendering aid).

    What did you watch?

I don't think I've watched a single episode of this. Just going by the
name, it's probably the type of show I would like.

I may come back latter today with more comments.

    What did you watch?

    I watched:

The Continental: From the World of John Wick (Peacock) - "Theatre of
Pain" - The third and final episode which shows how Winston became
manager of the hotel. I really don't have much to say about it.

Sinners (theatrical) New horror movie written and directed by Ryan
Coogler. The movie stars Michael B. Jordan in a dual role as twin
brothers who return to their home town in Mississippi in 1932. They
have plans to open a juke joint. They spend the first half of the movie getting things in place for an opening night party. But those plans are
tossed aside when some vampires show up wanting to be invited in. To
make it out alive they just need to survive From Dusk Til Dawn. The
movie also stars Hailee Steinfeld as a young woman with True Grit who
gets caught between the brothers and the vampires. It's a pretty good
movie. I liked that it used a lot of the vampire myths like needing an
invite and not liking garlic. I saw the movie at my local IMAX theater
and it looked great. I'm tempted to make a trip to San Francisco so I
can watch it again in 70mm IMAX for the ultimate viewing experience.

Exactly what I thought but I quit after the pilot. It was a plenty to
complain about show but not a sit back and enjoy it show.

FWIW, it gets better with every season:

Season 1 is rough (esp. the beginning and the ending), season 2 is good,
and season 3 has been better still.

Garlic is the perfect food. This is the ultimate evil.
