Fringe S4E02 'One Night in October'
IMDb sez: The "Over Here" team helps the "Over There" team look into a
string of murders in which the victims are frozen from the inside out.
Contains a parody of the Maxell "Blown Away Guy" ad - we see Walter
Bishop 'relaxing' in front of a huge bank of speakers, sitting deep in
an armchair, while playing classical music at high volumes.
At the gas station, when Noreen Miller is filling up, the emblem on the
front of her Dodge mini van is obscured with silver tape. There is also
a Ford Explorer, which leaves the station as the scene opens, which also
has its grill emblem covered with silver tape.
(This was because Ford stopped paying for product placements. Nissan
took their place.)
Olivia Dunham: You know what? He's not even my type.
Astrid Farnsworth: Do you ever think that maybe your type just doesn't
exist?
(Literally true!)
Fringe S4E03 'Alone in the World'
IMDb sez: "Two bullying boys die and exhibit an alarming state of rapid decay. Their would-be victim, an extremely lonely boy, has a remarkably unusual connection to the killer. Meanwhile, Walter fears for his sanity."

Batman (blu-ray) 1966 movie based on the TV series starring Adam West as
a man dressed as a bat, who just can't get rid of a bomb. This was
mostly background noise with the writer's commentary. He had a lot of
good stories about the making of the movie and the TV series (he was
also a writer for the weekly series).

Biweekly, and sometimes triweekly!
(And yes, I looked it up. Bizarrely, biweekly can mean both twice a week or every two weeks).
Lorenzo Semple Jr.
He pretty much created the whole thing and wrote the movie and pilot and worked on the series I believe it’s whole run from another country.
Of possible interest: the movie takes place before the series and was originally intended to be made first. Note that they’ve never seen the Catwoman unmasked before.
I love this movie. I remember seeing it with a bunch of other kids in a station wagon at the drive-in.
Anytime I watch it, I see all these things I wish they could’ve fixed like obvious stunt doubles and back projection and then I wonder: if they made
it better, would it actually be worse?
Van Johnson a.k.a. The Green Hornet plays Lyndon Baines Johnson. Notice him trying to take credit for the Cape Crusaders wins. Conditioner Gordon keeps telling LBJ “they did it“ and LBJ keeps changing it to “we did it”
The movie is full of sly little stuff like that.
Adam West plays much of the movie as Bruce Wayne and he’s a darker character than the one in the series, telling the four super villains that
if they’ve hurt Miss Kitka he’s going to kill them all!
Great soundtrack as well

He mentioned the effecs and bascally said they were doning the best they could at the time. He alsomentioned the movie fialed a tthe box office
it it on a combination of a fake Man From Uncle movie that released that
same time, but basically consisted of two episodes of the TV series
edited together.

What Did You Watch?
Quick drive-by:
soaps: DOOL - More death of John crap. It seems like this entire week of
DOOL is going to be taken up with this. :/
GH - The divorce/custody hearing over Willow's and (Nu)Michael's
kids begins - so far it's inconclusive, though I enjoyed Ric coercing
Alexis into removing Kristina as a witness. Meanwhile, Brook Lynn and
Gio have it out with Lois and evol Granny - in the end, Brook Lynn
exiles both from town again (I hope she keeps to it this time), but Gio
wants nothing to do with her.
School Spirits (Pee+) - Ep's #2.3 & #2.4.
Janet Hamilton in Maddie's body first tries to leave town, but she stupidly loses the bag of money (are they just going to forget about
this from here?!). So, in a move I didn't see coming but should have, Janet-as-Maddie goes home to Maddie's mother and seems set to take over Maddie's life. But Janet isn't telling anyone about what happened while
she was "gone"... Meanwhile, the ghosts discover that their key personal effect is a "key" that opens up a "scar" - which is basically their own personal Hell based around their own deaths. But, somehow, Mr. Martin
has the ability to escape into and travel through all the other ghosts' scars. And I guess ep. #2.4 is the last time we will see Alison Thornton
as awful Claire's frenemy. (Am I alone if having pretty much no sympathy
for Claire?!)

What Did You Watch?
I'm still going through my DVR looking for the oldest movies still on
there, so I watched:
Round and Round (Hallmark) 2023 (recorded in 2023) Hanukkah movie about
a woman (Vic Michaelis) who gets caught in a time loop, waking up every morning, the day of her parent's Hanukkah party where she will be dumped
by her boyfriend and conveniently meet a new guy (Byran Greenberg) that
same day. Is it fate? How many times will she have to go through the
loop before she falls in love? It held my interest well enough. I
liked that she quickly figured out she was in a time loop and decided to actively learn about time loops. I was a little annoyed that certain
events that kept happening and she seemed to make minimal effort to
change them. On the other hand, there was a fire that kept happening no matter what she did, at one point the fire extinguisher itself
spontaneously combusted, so it's possible those other things were just
going to happen no matter what and they didn't bother to show her making
much of an effort to stop it from happening. Nevertheless, her
insisting on doing pretty much the same routine every loop, did seem a
little weird.

I guess this is the last movie for Michael Nyqvist (Viggo in JOHN
