What did you watch?

I wish I hadn't. The leads didn't standout but weren't horrible. There
were a few good bits but they were overwhelmed by the tasteless parody >"jokes". (Like Supergirl making a cameo at the end to pick up her dog.
So drunk she walked thru the wall complaining that the door had been
moved. As she leaves Superman comments that she likes to party on red
sun planets because she can't get drunk under a yellow sun. *face
palm*) I suspect Gunn is trying to sabotage the DCU reboot. He succeeded.
I watched two movies. The first was My Little Pony: The Friendship
Trail. It was okay, but not great. The Mane Six are invited to a town
where everything is grayscale, and the residents learn to express
themselves in order to recover their colors. It's one of the ones aimed >firmly at children, so it was a little meh despite being well done.
The other was What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? Tubi suggested this after
the ponies for some reason, and I said sure. I've seen it before, but I
found it just as gripping this time as the first time. Two sisters, one
a former child vaudeville star and one a former early film star who's
now paraplegic, live together in a twisted, toxic relationship.
It is really an excellent movie if you like psychological horror, and a
good one even if you don't. With no overt gore or cheap scares, it takes >"creepy" to a new level.

The first time I saw it, I was not expecting the twist at the end. Bette >Davis invented an all-new movie genre.
The first season of Feud was about, in part, the making of this movie. >Jessica Lange was terrific as Joan Crawford, daring to show an aging
actress that Crawford covered up in public.

Interesting to see the different reactions. Here's the positive
reaction from a Superman fan. He admits it has some flaws but is
mostly positive. Oh, and there aren't any spoilers to worry about
other than stuff that was already in the trailers:

I Know What You Did Last Summer (4K disc) 1997 horror movie that rode "Scream's" coattails to success. The movie stars a group of young 90s
stars who hit a man on the road and when they realize he's still alive
decide to finish the job and dump his corpse in the ocean. A year later someone mysterious comes back looking for revenge.
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer (4K disc) 1998 cash grab sequel
which finds the survivors from the first movie once again facing off
someone with a killer grudge, and the patience to wait a full year
before striking.
This is a multiday catch up. Over the last few days I watched:

I saw the trailer for the remake of this over the weekend when I went to >JURASSIC PARK and I had the same reaction I did when I watched the originals: >why doesn't someone just get a damn gun? Once I realized some lunatic is >picking off my friends one-by-one, you better believe I'm conceal-carrying >everywhere I go from that point on, even if I'm just walking down the hall to >the bathroom. Two to the center mass and one to the head and the >problem goes away.

Fun fact: I saw this in the theater when it came out (pretty sure I went
by myself as it was not the kind of flick I would have dragged my mother to!). I'm vaguely fond of it.

Yeah, but her boobies have never looked better than they do in the
sequel. :)

That seems to be happening with all the superhero movies. They don't
take their own material seriously. Everything's a parody, a sly wink, a >fourth-wall break.

Did you watch the Snyderverse DC movies?
I did not. Were they good?

Yesterday I ran errands in the morning, and then procrastinated most of
the day. And yesterday was weird - all of the main sports (Wimbledon,
Scottish Open) were on in the morning before noon, so there wasn't much
on in the afternoon.
Anyway, yesterday I watched:
Little Girl in the Woods (LMN) - New LMN flick filmed in the darkest,
coldest depths of Can-a-der!! (IMDb doesn't say where - I'm going to
guess it's just semi-remote Ontario, 60-90 miles outside of Toron-ter...)
Hunh, sounds okay. Those low-budget indie adventures can be a lot of
fun.
