    I guess.

I'm just going with traditional anti-Semitism.

So am I - and another related thing in the present conflict is the
attitude of presumption of "equivalence" where it is claimed that both
    sides are equally barbaric.

Israel has court-martialed several officers and non-coms who have
misbehaved in Gaza. Has HAMAS court-martialed anybody?

Israel has also court-martialed those charged with rape. Where are the
    HAMAS rape court martials?

My point is that the whole discussion of "equivalence" is absolute
bollocks. (I could of course use a less acceptable term but why?)

You'd like Douglas Murray's take on equivalence. He pointed out that it
was absurd to even propose that the response to the Oct 7 attack would
be for the IDF to rape, murder, behead, or kidnap exactly as many people
    as Hamas did.

The point may be that if you find yourself comparing Israel's and
Hamas's atrocities, you're already giving Hamas just what it sought.

That is probably the biggest single change in the last 5 years. While
the synagogue nearest me hasn't had any attacks other Vancouver
synagogues (and a Jewish school) have been attacked.

(Usually paint bombed but sometimes worse)

Murray was a fairly big player in Youtube-land before 7/10/2023 and is
    even bigger now.

Obviously if one side in a conflict commits atrocities the other side
isn't obligated to follow suit - and while there have been several IDF
troops do nasty things in Gaza, the court martials have followed.

I've never heard of HAMAS court martialling anybody.

As for UNRRA, released hostages have reported being kept prisoner in
homes of UNRRA staff. There have been several of these so it is not unreasonable to consider UNRRA the civilian arm of HAMAS.
