You could easily drop that at a steakhouse or Benihana here. $100 meal at Benihana would require you to order something from Jack-in-the-Box to fill
    your tummy.

I had no DVR yesterday which match I couldn’t watch anything except via the fire stick and I left elementary running on it in the background mostly.

My brother has been watching "The Fall Guy" on H&I lately. I told him I
can't watch standard-def TV shows anymore because of the OLED.

If they hadn't remastered "Baywatch" to be in high-def, I would be a
    very, very sad person!!

No, the "Thai experience" dinner at a local restaurant, plus two beers ($18) and two scoops of banana ice cream ($12). This came with a automatic tip for our large group and a 5% (I think) charge for not paying in cash.

I enjoyed it but these people seem to like eating out at expensive places,
but next month it'll be at Big House.

That is, or at least used to be, against credit card rules.

I had the entire series on the DVR. They were showing them daily for the
months I was in the hospital and got stockpiled.

Objection, your honor, assumes facts not in evidence.

Credit cards charge venders for using them. It's usually a sign of trouble
when a business tries to persuade its customers to pay with cash.

Every gas station in Southern California does this. There's the cash price and the credit price, which is up to 10 cents/gallon higher than the cash price.

That is, or at least used to be, against credit card rules.

Perhaps but many restaurants in our area advertise that they require a percentage (usually 15%) for larger groups particularly as larger
    groups often has separate bills.

You can of course go higher if you wish.

But I confess I was mightily browned off when I saw the credit card
machine at McD's showing 10%/15%/20% - in Canada pretty much
everything is covered by the GST (in BC that's 7% provincial, 5%
federal) and I adamantly oppose tipping the tax so I enter the amount
option and mentally calculate the percentage based on before tax.
(Being a former math graduate one tends to be good at mental
    calculation)

Any server who complains gets zero - and I've only done that once in
the years since they've imposed the GST on food. (It used to be they
only applied the tax on booze but not now...)

No, don’t take this personally because it’s not intended that way.

The only experience I have with not tipping on the tax is that somebody in
a group will always look at the money I’ve left and say “you don’t tip on the tax“ and reach in and take some of the money back and stick it in their own pocket.

At which point I will wait till they’re out of sight and replace it out of
    my pocket.
