  • [OT] Feminist in big trouble for declaring Allah is lesbian

    A Moroccan feminist is in trouble for wearing a T-shirt that said "Allah
    is lesbian".

    She's been charged with offending Islam but her trial has been delayed
    two weeks to allow her to prepare a defense. She faces as much as two
    years in prison if convicted, unless she repeats the offense in public
    or online: then the jail term is up to five years.

    Of course she's lucky that she said it in Morocco; some Islamic
    countries would execute her if the street mobs didn't kill her first.
    Still, years in prison for saying those three words does seem extreme....

    Gotta love religion that's not a matter of faith or belief, but avoiding punitive action taken by other individuals or the state.

    Fair enough BUT not all religions respond to outrageous content in the
    same way.
