    On Mulberry Drive

    On Mulberry Drive
    walking in the Spring rain.
Except for signs of a driveway
    nothing else remains.
    They took it all away
    the house and the hill.
That spot we shared in '78
    all the love and thrills.

    Oblivion is coming
    it's written in the stone.
    It really starts out
on the day that you're born.
    Live every second
    dance what you've captured.
    Shadowville Mythos...
    is on the last chapter.

    On Mulberry Drive
    on another mystery play.
    Almost fifty years ago
    still seems like yesterday.
    That long driveway
    now goes into space.
    We thought we'd live forever
    not dead and disgraced.

    Darkness is falling
    archived in a book.
    It really gets smaller
    the closer you look.
    Breathe deeply my darling
smoke them if you have to.
    Shadowville Mythos...
    is on the last chapter.

    On Mulberry Drive
    now the hail's coming down.
    Taps on the umbrella
    as I'm walking around.
    I remember that fireplace
    I remember her smile.
    I remember Edgewood Park
where we'd laugh for a while.

    In the living room
    I heard a ghost moan.
As I talked with the Cavalier
    on a land line telephone.
    Relive every second
    these memories you've captured.
    Shadowville Mythos...
    is on the last chapter.

Almost two years later, the spamming and talentless Dreckster is
still not feeding the worms. Drat and double drat.

Lack of response noted and ridiculed.

Honestly, I'm surprised anyone playing on that unspeakable
clusterfuck didn't demand their credits be listed as Alan Smithee.
Even the drum machine doesn't want to be named.

Lack of response noted and ridiculed.

From the Shadowville Mythos poetry blog:

I liked the song. The music enhances the lyrics. Mallard's guitar
is always catchy, and you held up your vocal end well.

The ending was cool; reminded me of "Cinnamon Girl".

Good afternoon, George Dance, any confirmation on when this poem
will appear in the PP poetry blog?

Remind me again which of you has the least talent? Dreckweasel,
Dunce or the people who butchered the job on your hearing aids?

Lack of response noted and ridiculed.

Obviously you fit that description, Cujo.

I have many talents, one of them is making a living with my skills.

    How about you, Dreckster?

Well, there's always these mongs to slap around until then.

Ducky's guitar needs to be tuned (or have more than one string).
Maybe another dead cat can be found for organ donations?

Ducky always plays the same cord, no matter what the song is. Boring
and unmusical. Will Dockery also groans the same song, no matter what
    the words are.

The guitar is way overmodulated. Too many special effects that sound
like they're off a cheap combo amp.

We've already discussed the Caterwauling douchebag. He's actually gotten
worse. Some vocals are beyond autotune.

The ending was cool; reminded me of "Cinnamon Girl".
The one where Will Dockery stuck his finger into her cinnamon bun?

It would have to be in the negative numbers. They have banded
together because no one else will play with them. Even the ConBros
    are MIA.

You might figure Little Willie Douchebag would get offers to stop in
where people are playing for free like he has in the past. Even that
appears to be off the table.

Dreckster must be a powerful figure in the area, especially if you're
    downwind.

I have many talents, one of them is making a living with my skills.

    How about you, Dreckster?

Dreckster lives off of other people: his mother, his brother, and now, seemingly, Rachel. His house is falling apart, and he was in danger
(despite all of that fat) of freezing to death. Luckily, there are no
pipes in the house that would freeze. Rachel sent him a heater. Did
she pay the electric bill so that he could use it? Dreckster is
always looking for his next mark.

I'm glad you didn't suggest Dreckster was spooning the Town Drunk for
warmth. I prefer to only taste my dinner on the way down, and not the
    opposite direction.
