Since MMP is trying to disrupt his psychoanalysis by attemptint to
change the subject to whatever he can think of, and since I don't want
to let his attempts pass without comment, I'm being forced to open new
    threads on some of it.

You've started a new thread in which you say nothing except that you've

either you or your Donkey have started on the same topic?

NOTE where is says "moved from" followed by a link.

Yes, MMP; I added that myself, for context; since I was opening a new
thread, I put in a link to the original thread.

Apparently the second line of the link breaks off when clicked on, redirecting me to a non-existent article in alt.arts.poe.

Obviously that link you posted is broken, but the rest of it appears on
the line beneath. If for some reason you'd clicked on that, rather than
the one in the OP, you'd have got a 404 ("Not found") message; in which
case a rational person would have
rechecked the link, discovered the break, put it back together with one
click of the backspace key, and tried again. (Which apparently is what
    you did immediately afterward).

    Case solved.

Of course, had you investigated by opening your Donkey's reposted
version, you would have seen what I was talking about. Instead, you
simply chose to assume that I was making the whole thing up.

Mr. Monkey, You claimed that I'd been writing about you in some group
I'd never heard of, but that I'd removed my article or articles from it,
and you only found out Will had replied to one. None of that was true -
you simply made it up - and I didn't need to do any "investigating" to
know that. It may be valuable to some people to know *why* you made up
that story, but I can't see anyone being interested in that but you.

Instead of launching a new thread (the purpose of which seems to be
explaining why you are launching a new thread), why didn't you just
respond to my post in the thread where it has appeared?

You claim that I have avoided some statement you've made in one of your
(or your Donkey's) multiple threads on the same topic. If I missed one
    of your posts, I apologize.

Most likely, I simply didn't have the time to respond to it, and was
planning on doing so at my earliest convenience.

Starting new threads in which to repeat the same statements is just a
    huge waste of everyone's time.

I was merely confused by a broken link. Which doesn't explain why you

NOTE where is says "moved from" followed by a link.

Yes, MMP; I added that myself, for context; since I was opening a new
thread, I put in a link to the original thread.

Apparently the second line of the link breaks off when clicked on,
redirecting me to a non-existent article in alt.arts.poe.

I didn't make anything up, George.

"George was writing about me in alt.arts.poe."
"Unfortunately the link to the original article says that it's been
    removed"
Both of these are claims you made up, neither of which were true. (I
can't call you Lying Michael for them, since you only made them onee:

I was merely confused by a broken link.

We're not discussing why you made up those two false claims HarryLiar.

    Which doesn't explain why you
have felt it necessary to open a new thread in which you announce that
    you're opening a new thread.

No, Lying Michael: I explained that in the OP of this thread:

"Since MMP is trying to disrupt his psychoanalysis by attemptint to
change the subject to whatever he can think of, and since I don't want
to let his attempts pass without comment, I'm being forced to open new
    threads on some of it."

That's been your regular M.O. since we showed up. Whenever I try to have
a conversation with Will, about anything, you jump in and start spewing
false claims, in the mistaken belief that I'd only have two options:
    (1) try to refute your false claims, in which case you've successfully disrupted the conversation; or
    (2) ignore them (in which some people might think those false claims of
    yours are actually true; or
So I've had to come up with a third option:
    (3) open a new thread, and refute your false claims there. This new
thread being a case in poing.

Again, one can only return to the age old question of WTF is wrong with
    you, George Dance?

Do you seriously think your attempts to second-hand Gary Gamble will be
    any more
successful than your attempts to parrot Peter J Ross? You're such a

You can tell that I was not lying, duplicitous George, as I reposted the
    broken link.

I am new to this forum, and was not aware that a posted link will break
off if it runs for more than one line.

Here is the link. Notice how the line break occurs after the first
three letters of the word "poetry":

    https://www.novabbs.com/arts/article-flat.php?id=254114&group=alt.arts.poe >>>> try.comments#254114

When I clicked on this link, the portion on the second line ("try.comments#254114") was cut off; so the link took me to a NovaBBS
    page displaying the following message:

    arts / alt.arts.poe / novaBBS
    Article not found

Under the circumstances, I think it was only natural for me to have read
this to mean that your original post had been from a group called "alt.arts.poe," and that it had since been removed.

It was a reasonable misunderstanding on my part. That's all.

"Since MMP is trying to disrupt his psychoanalysis by attemptint to
change the subject to whatever he can think of, and since I don't want
to let his attempts pass without comment, I'm being forced to open new threads on some of it."

My motivation was not to change the subject. I was confused as to why
your post appeared to have been moved (by your Donkey) from some Usenet
    group about Poe.

The idea that you might have been writing about me in various Newsgroups
behind my back, is disturbing -- to put it mildly.

Clearing that matter up, seems more pressing to me, than bickering about
a year+ old conversation wherein I'd called you a second-hander, and you responded with one of your signature IKYABWAI posts.

Ignoring the fact that the above is total b.s., there was no
conversation taking place between you and your Donkey.

You Donkey copied your post from a different conversation, and reposted
it in a new thread -- in an obvious attempt to bring it to my attention.

Are you, perhaps, unaware that your Donkey did this? It would shed
light on some of the accusations you've made above.

Here is a link to the thread that your Donkey started:

    https://www.novabbs.com/arts/article-flat.php?id=255544&group=alt.arts.poetry.comments#255544

(You'll need to copy/paste it into the header to make it work, as the
second line of the link will break off in this forum."

    (2) ignore them (in which some people might think those false claims of
    yours are actually true; or
So I've had to come up with a third option:
    (3) open a new thread, and refute your false claims there. This new
thread being a case in poing.

And, again, this is *not* the way this happened, George.

Your Donkey copy/pasted your opening statement from a conversation you
were having with him into a *new* thread (link provided above).

I saw your comments about me in the thread that your Donkey opened.

    1) I did not break into your conversation with the Donkey. The Donkey
trolled me into it by reposting it in a separate thread.

    2) Had I actually come across your actual conversation with your Donkey,
I would have had every right to break into it *because it was
    specifically about me.*

If someone is posting false statements about you on Usenet, you have
every right to step in and attempt to correct them.

Again, one can only return to the age old question of WTF is wrong with
    you, George Dance?

Do you seriously think your attempts to second-hand Gary Gamble will be
    any more
successful than your attempts to parrot Peter J Ross? You're such a
    peabrain!

Was that a Gary Gamble quote?

As I've pointed out, Mr. Gamble had been long gone from the group when I arrived. Since PJR repeatedly asked you the same question, I assumed
that it had originated with him.

Thank you for pointing out that PJR wasn't the only one who thought that
you were seriously tetched in the head.

To the best of my knowledge, George limits his libelous comments to AAPC

When have I previously said that

There were claims on Google Groups that some messages had been deleted
when it turned out you were either lying or simply confused, Harry.

Who claimed these messages were deleted, Donkey? What was the supposed
    content of these messages?

Messages are often deleted from Google Groups. You'll remember that
Corey deleted 99% of his posts.

I have no need to make up messages from you. I've got 100s of idiotic statements by you on file. Like, for instance, this gem:

"Yes, one thing about shambles is that was about the hoooker, not me of
Richard Pryor, it even the night."
    -- Will Dockery

With material like this at my fingertips, why should I ever have the
need to make anything up? Nothing I could make up ever top it.

When have I previously said that

There were claims on Google Groups that some messages had been deleted
when it turned out you were either lying or simply confused, Harry.

Who claimed these messages were deleted,

    You did?

    What was the supposed
    content of these messages?

Messages are often deleted from Google Groups. You'll remember that
Corey deleted 99% of his posts.

These are now visible in the JLA Forums archives.

I have no need to make up messages from you. I've got 100s of idiotic
statements by you on file.

    --

The problem is so much posted in the archives are forgery and
impersonation posts, Harry, made by you and your gang of troll thugs

    And so it goes.

Are you denying that you made that statement, Donkey?

How about this one? You only made it yesterday: “Yes, the poem itself
is based on a dress I had 43 years ago.
May 8th 1982 to be exact.”

the link you posted was broken. That's all it was.

    --

You seem confused, I didn't post a link.

The broken link is visible in the quoted material above.

Whether you copy/pasted it, or whether NovaBBS simply quoted it, you
were the one whose post it appeared in.

According to the quoted material, it says that *this* thread had been
    "moved from" https://www.novabbs.com/arts/article-flat.php?id=254114&group=alt.arts.poe >>>>> try.comments#254114

Do you see the little greater than signs (>>>>>) immediately above?

Those signs are not part of the address. When NovaBBS wrapped the
address to the second line, it inadvertently added the greater than
    signs.

These signs cut the address off at "alt.arts.poetry.comments," but
because it was longer than 72 characters, it wrapped to the following
line, and ended looking like this "alt.arts.poe>>>>>try.comments."

When I clicked on the address (which was supposed to be a link to the
original thread the post appeared in, it broke off at "alt.arts.poe."
Because it broke off there, the link went to a blank NovaBBS page
displaying that the article was no longer available.

    Do you understand?

I read the message which said "arts / alt.arts.poe / novaBBS Article not found."

This looks like the post had been moved from some group called
    "alt.arts.poe."

No one was trying to pull any stunt about a missing post.

NovaBBS wraps its lines at 72 characters. This causes links to break
off at 72 characters. When you click on a broken link, it takes you to
a page saying "Article not found."

That is all that happened. Do you understand this yet? Or do I have to
    call Dr. Schwimmer?

Yes, MMP; I added that myself, for context; since I was opening a new
thread, I put in a link to the original thread.

That helps new readers get up to speed.

You posted a broken link, Donkey.

The issue has since been resolved.

Apparently the second line of the link breaks off when clicked on,
redirecting me to a non-existent article in alt.arts.poe.

    Case solved.

you simply chose to assume that I was making the whole thing up.

    That's your pattern after all.

Mr. Monkey, You claimed that I'd been writing about you in some group
I'd never heard of, but that I'd removed my article or articles from it, >>> and you only found out Will had replied to one. None of that was true -

know that. It may be valuable to some people to know *why* you made up
that story, but I can't see anyone being interested in that but you.

Making things up as he goes along is part of his lying and
    misrepresentation stunts, after all.

Again, I'm flattered by the Indiana Jones reference. But while we both
wear wide brimmed fedoras, the only whip I've ever carried is of the metaphorical variety.

I was merely confused by a broken link

It sure has you in a tizzy for a while, Pendragon.

Again, one can only return to the age old question of WTF is wrong with
    you, George Dance?

    --

Michael Pendragon second handing Gary Gamble, noted.

As noted, I was mildly surprised to learn that the Age Old Question
predated PJR. However, it PJR who I was obliquely quoting, not Gary.

Wow. I was going to George stew in their own juices for

George Dance certainly has been busy in my absence. LOL.
Unfortunately, the link to the original article says that it's been >>>>>>>> removed, so I can't read it in context (assuming that anyone, other than
responded to it), or see why George was writing about me in
    alt.arts.poe -- a group which I'm unfamiliar with.

That's because there is no Pue newsgroup.

welcome to this thread, Mr. Monkey; I was wondering when you'd show up. >>>>>>> Thank you, too for illustrating one of the subjects -- why you lie and >>>>>>> misrepresent so much -- by snipping and lying about the thread youre >>>>>>> replying to. Here is the opening passage to the *reposted* version of this thread >>>>>> that your Donkey opened:

Actually, the version of the thread on aapc begins with my post, which >>>>> begins:

that article is still there, on aapc as well as RAP; but not, AFAIK, on >>>>> alt.arts.poe.

Because that newsgroup doesn't exist as we now know.

NOTE where is says "moved from" followed by a link.

Yes, MMP; I added that myself, for context; since I was opening a new >>>>> thread, I put in a link to the original thread.

That helps new readers get up to speed.

You posted a broken link, Donkey.

The issue has since been resolved.

Apparently the second line of the link breaks off when clicked on, >>>>>> redirecting me to a non-existent article in alt.arts.poe.

Obviously that link you posted is broken, but the rest of it appears on >>>>> the line beneath. If for some reason you'd clicked on that, rather than >>>>> the one in the OP, you'd have got a 404 ("Not found") message; in which >>>>> case a rational person would have

    Case solved.

you simply chose to assume that I was making the whole thing up.

    That's your pattern after all.

Mr. Monkey, You claimed that I'd been writing about you in some group >>>>> I'd never heard of, but that I'd removed my article or articles from it, >>>>> and you only found out Will had replied to one. None of that was true - >>>>> you simply made it up - and I didn't need to do any "investigating" to >>>>> know that. Making things up as he goes along is part of his lying and
    misrepresentation stunts, after all.

Again, I'm flattered by the Indiana Jones reference. But while we both
wear wide brimmed fedoras, the only whip I've ever carried is of the
    metaphorical variety.

I do see a slight resemblance, but when I read your posts I always hear Charles Winchester from M*A*S*H, probably because of a discussion we had
    many years ago.

Yes, Major Charles Emerson Winchester III was my favorite character on
M*A*S*H, and the one with whom I often identified (a cultured
intellectual surrounded by a bunch of yahoos). I also frequently quote
one of his lines: "I do one thing at a time. I do it very well. And then
I move on." (Taking extra care to pronounce "very" as "veddy.")

I was merely confused by a broken link

It sure has you in a tizzy for a while, Pendragon.

Again, one can only return to the age old question of WTF is wrong with >>>> you, George Dance?

    --

Michael Pendragon second handing Gary Gamble, noted.

As noted, I was mildly surprised to learn that the Age Old Question
predated PJR. However, it PJR who I was obliquely quoting, not Gary.

    --

While PJR was apparently quoting Gary Gamble.

You've already said that, Donkey. And I haven't questioned your
    attribution.
