There have been lots of others. Once Hollyweird gets on a bandwagon,
it's difficult to get them to stop. :-(

I thought it was as entertaining as could be expected for a story that's
    been told many times.

I thought Butler did a good job with '50s Elvis but he was a little too
gangly to play Elvis in Vegas and later. They should have added a little padding and makeup/prosthesis for those scenes.

I think the only time they bothered with that was when he did the "two-weeks-from-death-Elvis" playing "Unchained Melody" in concert.

A movie theater today is just like a Youtube trailer showing...

they say it will be on HBO Max in August, but I bet they will move up that date somewhere in July before it dies...probably next week.

I guess Hollywood forgot about torrents...

    wac-a-mole don't work.

Nope. I did do some clamoring, but that was *against* an Elvis biopic.

FWIW after less than four weeks in theaters, Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis has
grossed more than $106 million in the U.S. and Canada, according to boxofficemojo.com. The film, starring Austin Butler as the King, Elvis
Presley, is already the fourth-highest-grossing music biopic since the mid-1970s.

What was the number one music biopic, Queen or Elton John ?

And I am wondering what was the third one ? Maybe "The Song Remains The
    Same" by Led Zeppelin.

BTW, there is reputedly a David Bowie biopic on the way if it did not
    get derailed by the Koof.

As always, it depends on which list you want to believe, as well as
whether or not they include America, worldwide, and home video ... plus
of course "Elvis" hasn't even finished it's run yet.

According to Billboard.com's top 25 list, the current top 5 are (US$
for US domestic / worldwide gross):

    Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) Queen $216,668,042 / $910,809,311
    Straight Outta Compton (2015) N.W.A. $161,197,785 / $201,634,991
    Walk the Line (2005) Johnny Cash $119,519,402 / $186,797,986
    Elvis (2022) Elvis Presely $106,200,000 / $170,400,000
    Rocketman (2019) Elton John $ 96,368,160 / $195,320,400

According to many people, including some who where there at the time, a
lot of the movie is fiction (like most history movies/dramas), so I
wouldn't believe everything you learnt from the movie. There are
already many websites going over some of the made-up bits of the movie,
    for example <https://variety.com/2022/film/news/elvis-fact-or-fiction-film-colonel-tom-parker-presley-baz-luhrmann-biopic-1235302026/>
