aug 13 2022 A new discovery has been made in the fatal "Rust"
    shooting involving Alec Baldwin.

According to ABC News, which obtained a copy of the FBI's forensic
report, the gun used on the New Mexico movie set could not have been
fired without the trigger being pulled.

The FBI conducted an accidental discharge test and determined the gun
used in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins "could
not be made to fire without a pull of the trigger," the report stated, according to the outlet.

In December, Baldwin, who was in possession of the firearm on set,
told ABC News that he did not fire the weapon. "The trigger wasn't
pulled," Baldwin said. "I didn't pull the trigger."

No, it was a real gun, and I don't think they had any props on that shoot. But Baldwin KNEW better. Two people in movie shoots have died from being hit by blank rounds because a wad of cotton exiting the barrel of a gun at 1500fps is still dangerous.

I'm sorry the woman died and I do no like Alec Baldwin - even a little bit.
But I don't think, in all fairness, you can blame the actor when a "prop gun" is handed to him and it's loaded with live rounds. I haven't followed
this story but where is the "Prop Master" or what ever you call him?
If they have fire arms and live ammo on a movie set, don't they pay
someone to safeguard and monitor it?

They still have no idea why there were live rounds on the set, unless they had planned to visibly shoot some object (target practice at bottles?) for whatever reason.
But it's amusing Baldwin has never heard of the idea of not pointing a gun at someone unless you PROVE IT SAFE or are going to kill them, which he did..
