am going to be honest, I am so tired of movies tossing Spanish/Latino
vibes inside of it instead of actually making something creative. That
is why the "reboot" AKA "Girl Ash" was a meh....I
mean "Big Eyes" is just a slap in the face to
"Anime" with the reality of "Evil Dead" only the
original actor can play Ash, which justify the "Ash v.
EvilDead" series. Only then you fall in love with the characters.
Back to my original point, so many horror films seems to play the
A. South American / Latino representation of Christianity, cult,
religious practices, Mayan, Incas, Aztech, Perubians, mentality.
or
B. Witch craft, I mean like saliva, voodoo, etc. I have nothing
against Voodoo in films like "Robin Hood Men in tights" ( or
games like "D2" ) but it goes into this direction.

C. If it is not Spanish / Latino it vars off into a different course
of events.

Native American spiritual ceremony person. In my opinion needs to stop
with the horror. In fact I call it "attempted Horror". Oh
noes a Native American person ...this looks bad. Mentality. Take
"Natural Born Killers" which was great for it's time and
held many tropes and ideas of the time and prior. I will admit that
one Native-American, doing his thing was okay, but I mean that along
with the Japanese news-reporter turning the report into a sex thing,
and the warden head coming off like a puppet doll was what the 1990's
cartoony commercialism was at it's finest.

Point I am making is that Evil-Dead is Ash and what made the movie
special was the remake of the first movie. Where it never ends, and is
just "Evil-Dead" all over again. If you actually took the
time to checkout the stop-motion, and clay-animation, along with
film-work done on Evil-dead series it actually took horror by the neck
and gave us something different. Because we all know it is fake but
how fake is fake when you see Ashes hair turn white, and further more
is tortured by the "Evildead" into the dark-ages, where he
"is the king" AKA occupation "Ash the slave".

That happy go lucky, extra commercial, extra allergenic nice-ness of
the 1990's is gone with 9/11... by all means is an inside-job for all
I could care, and thus follow the media that is depressing. We need
media like "Total Recall" where everything is colorful,
western, but futuristic and fixed up. Not another grim tale where
everything looks bland.

I want to see stuff that is dynamic with hope not depressing. Or
leaves you with a big laugh, or ohhhhh my or of course.
Take "The Matrix" possibly the last real group film moment.
1. When we saw Neo get interviewed, harassed, by the officers, a
person in the audience shout out something.
2. We all saw Neo big middle-finger get a close up in Mr. Smith face,
the audience laughed after a good minute of it.
3. Just seeing Mr. Smith admit how much he hates human beings to
Morpheus. Stroking his finger against his flesh. That was the omgsh no
he did not moment of the entire film.
4. Just to mention how Neo went down the rabbit hole, or even took a
second look at the red dress lady.
Take "Total Recall" from using a human shield, unloading on
your wife, and that kiss on the mountain of mars. Just seeing Arnie be
a martial-artist.

Now with Ash we have this simple moment. Everybody in the orgy Cabin
they read the lame book and the whole trip goes insane. Then you have
the Hillbillies/mid-westerners/southerners shows up which starts a new
chapter. The insanity keeps going through the roof. Of course here is
granny with her kind voice. Nope, and then Ash gets cast out
What did we get in 2016. Girl Ash dies to remove the evil from her,
and is revitalized with a TMNT make-shift 80's
DIY-home-made medical device shock thingy. Then her boytoy gets downed
as she screams like some Terminator movie or something profanity. I
mean omgsh Big-Eyes.
Maybe this newer version will actually serve us well.
