    Hey,

Not being a sports guy -- except boxing and synchronized swimming -- I reall had no interest in seeing this film. Yes, in structure and dynamics, it's a Hollywood film. And a really good one at that. The art direction and set decorations are impeccable:
the music, the computers, the clothes, everything. Great cast and really good script. They still makes good movies in Hollywood. Sometimes. This is one of them.

I was on the fence, but now I guess I have to see it.

I was surprised. Was gonna give it the old fifteen minutes but I just kept watching.

Often enough, producer-director Affleck seems to connect with the ball.

I saw Draft Day for the first time this past year, it's recommended if
you're ever curious about the behind the scenes wrangling that goes on
in the NFL draft every year.

I kept thinking Denis Leary was Willem Defoe though, I swear they could
pass for brothers now that Leary is aging.

I guess it has a "Baconesque" Affleck connection -- his former wife
Jennifer Garner plays Kevin Costner's love interest.
