• PREY (no spoilers)

From moviePig@21:1/5 to All on Wed Dec 27 17:18:37 2023
Cowboys-and-Indians begat the disappointing COWBOYS AND ALIENS, and now Indians-and-aliens completes the triad. Actually, PREY is an entry in
the "Predator" franchise, pitting the familiar hunter-monster against a Comanche girl trying to make her chops by hunting *him*. Unfortunately,
the real hunt here is for any element of surprise in this cookie-cutter screenplay. Good-looking pastime, but only minimally recommended.

I went into it expecting the "savages as superheroes" tripe we get from Hollywood about all "trodden on" minorities.
But I wound up liking it. The hero is a good character and I liked the way the plot and action unfolded.

At least is had the balls to piss on the French.

I don't suppose it did so humorously like "Monty Python and the Holy Grail".

    Malheureusement non.
