    The issue is whether we should give a shit about such things.

    The "issue" is that they keep gender or race swapping existing white
    people, especially white males, (whether fictional characters or real historical people) without a second thought in casting decisions to
    appease the "Politically Correct" morons, yet doing the opposite for
    any other person would result in massive riots (probably by those same "Politically Correct" morons since they have no actual understanding of
    the term "equality").

    It's most embarrassing for the race when they insist on pretending that
    a member of a certain race had ANYTHING to do with some positive
    historical invention or action that they had little or nothing to do
    with. For example, inflating the contribution of some black
    arithmeticians as being saviors of the space program. Not only is it
    silly and historically inaccurate, but anyone with an ounce of
    integrity and a conscience would be offended that they were portrayed
    taking credit for the work of other people.

    That's an old problem, and not confined to race or gender. Just look at
    all the American-made World War I and II movies in which Americans save
    the day ... when in reality Americans weren't even at the historical
    events being portrayed in the movie. :-\

    That's what I thought as she even released a Spanish language album.
    So I don't see a problem from that standpoint. Though I do agree she's
    going to have a real problem matching Ronstadt's vocal performance.
