    Although Dreamworks's THE WILD ROBOT, on Netflix, was well-received by critics and audiences, it didn't quite rise above my cloy threshold.
    (It's no IRON GIANT.) However, it's been a while since I've watched state-of-the-art animation, and I was transfixed. Recommended.

    My inner shark had hopes early on when the baby possum got eaten. But
    then, 10 seconds later...

    I really enjoyed most of this film but, yeah, when I got to this point,
    I immediately thought, OK, so all these animals are going to die now.
