As much as I can't STAND Pascal, his twin Mark Ruffalo is out doing him
right now for the title of biggest douchebag. If you got them and the cast
of the View together the apocalypse would happen.

Good video. She likes him a lot more than I do.

My favorite part is when he takes off his glasses to look at nails. He
takes off his glasses to see better. I had wondered if they were fake.

    It depends on your vision.

I'm short-sighted, so need glasses to see distance, but when working on something small close-up, it is better to take my glasses off. This can
become more of a problem as people age, which is why they sometimes get bifocals - the upper half of the lenses for long distance and the lower
half of the lenses for close work / reading.

On the UK TV show "The Repair Shop", the clock repair expert Steve
Fletcher often wears two or even three pairs of glasses at the same
time when working on the small items. One of the other experts has also
used the same idea a couple of times. <https://i2-prod.mirror.co.uk/article30288011.ece/ALTERNATES/s1200d/0_Steven-Fletcher.jpg>

It can also depends on your glasses. If the lenses are tinted for sun protection, then that can make it harder to see small close up things.

If they were fake, then he wouldn't have to take them off. Also, I was
born in the same year as Pascal and I take my glasses off when looking
at things at close range (like reading).

His whole life is a lie. Why wouldn’t his glasses be as well?

Somehow, I have arrived at this point in my life without
the sightest clue who Pedro Pascal might be.

I suspect I may want to keep it that way.

I hate the guy. You might note that his entire story about fleeing
oppression in South America is a lie. They fled because his father was a
    tax dodger.

My understanding is that they wanted to leave before the revolutionaries

Nope. He ran some kind of shady dental practice and owed 1 million bucks in back taxes and fled to avoid them. The revolutionaries is the lie they tell
so we feel sorry for them.

Fixed now. It was Cox cable fault. I went back and the posts I could see
that nobody else could. I replied to them so they have an extra deep quote level, but at least the information survives.

Well, government taxes *are* a form of "oppression". ;-)

    noun: oppression; plural noun: oppressions
Prolonged cruel or unjust treatment or exercise of authority.

Yeah, but it’s hard to paint the IRS as revolutionaries.
