I was in Montana fishing with five other guys on the Missouri River
for the last week. I left Helena, Montana this morning at 34 F. I
arrived back in Houston at 93 F. I want to go back.
My wife and daughter were fine. I live way outside Houston in what
used to be the sticks.

Last time I was in Houston, in 2001, there was also a flood. Those of
us in College Station benefited mightily, as classical musicians
relocated temporarily to our area, and put on a series of wonderful
chamber concerts.
Texas is the only place where I've ever had to swim across a street. In memory I associate SE Texas with floods.
